About half way to the clinic I felt a sharp pain in my chest, followed by a strong wave of Dante's pull. I stopped walking and grabbed a nearby tree. Lee also stopped his step and turned to check me.

"I'm fine. Just continue to the clinic." I told him, as I saw the man on his back stirred a bit.

Lee nodded as he realized it too. "Wait for me here, or just shout if you need help, someone will come to you."

I nodded. "But first, get your hand checked. Don't worry about me."

He nodded back and I could almost see his minuscule smile before he left in much faster speed than when I was tailing behind.

I calmed my breathing for a minute then walked again to the clinic. The pain in my chest was a come and go, so I walked when it was less painful and stopped walking when I couldn't bear it. The closer I got to the clinic, the heavier it seemed for me to breathe. The pain in my chest grew with every forward step I took.

Both sounds from the party and the groaning or howling were less heard by then. I looked up to search the moon to find that it was still shining bright and seemed in bigger size than usual full moon. During dinner I heard that the white moon tonight was special and could give the werewolf strength, I wonder if the moon would give strength to a witch like me too.

"Jacey! Are you okay there?"

I looked around and find Amy running closer to me. I smiled and nodded, almost fell to the ground due to the sharp pain if there was no tree next to me to lean on. I couldn't say a word because every time I tried to say something, I felt my chest constricted and it hurt so much I couldn't breathe.

"Lee asked me to find you." She held my arm and helped me to get into the clinic. She said something about Grandma and Declan but I couldn't comprehend her words.

Unable to endure the pain any longer, I collapsed and darkness engulfed me.

Sounds of running water and soft hum woke me up. I opened my eyes and tried to gather my situation, when a very nice smell overwhelmed me instantly, made me dizzy at first though the smell gradually comforting me. Somehow the smell was familiar, fresh water with a hint of vanilla musk, like certain someone's scent.

The pain had miraculously gone so I slowly sat up and looked around. Other than the bed beneath me, small table and a small closet, I was surprised to find a ground bathtub occupied almost a quarter part of the room. I let out an involuntary scream as I found him in it. The dim light made me hard to recognize him at first.

"Took you long enough."

Damn, his voice sounded so good in my ears. But I hid it with my scowl.

Dante chuckled lightly. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."

"What're you doing there? And what room is this? A spa? Why am I even here?"

He laughed a little. "Welcome back. There's the Jacey I know."

I rolled my eyes. I turned my body so I sat facing him, crossing my arms. "So? Want to explain or should I just leave, because honestly, this just gets creepy by seconds."

"Don't leave, please. I kind of need you right now." Dante softly said.

Where did I hear the similar sentence? Wait, Seth also said exactly the same thing to Leona. And she vaguely said that her mate found her and it related to Seth. Damn. Why everyone I met in this village always gave cryptic answers.

"What do you need me for? Can we talk somewhere bright and not this creepy?"

Then I heard him sighed before instructed me, pointing at the switch on the wall. "Just turned on the main light, it'll be brighter and less creepy."
