I stood there in front of my best friend— my first friend— my enemy... As I readied my stance I see the look of fear in their eyes. As the referee counted down my heart raced giving the feeling that it could just jump out of my chest. I held my sword tighter as it reached ten.

Getting to one they/she/he rushed at me like a bull, I block their incoming attack and fought back as best as I could. Soon my vision blurred and all I could feel was wind, wind passing by me and my body moving on its own. When my vision cleared I was now on top of them/her/him, the crowd chanted and cheered as I wish to save my friend from this death match.

Tears streamed down my face looking at their/her/his pitiful expression. I raised my sword and uttered a single phrase before stabbing them/her/him. “Death is inevitable, but our friendship will surpass that.” I was now sobbing unable to look away from their/her/his body. I killed them...

I killed my friend,

sibling/brother/sister,

the one who cared the most for me...

I wish it didn't have to be like this.

I stare at their headstone with the urge to cry, remembering that moment wasn't the best idea but... I did it- I fucking did it. As my grip tightens on my sword I sighed. I pointed the tip towards me and apologized. “I'm sorry, I'll see you there.” Stabbing myself I fall to the ground losing consciousness, before it went black I heard the faint sounds of screaming coming from bellow.
