A/n: This is all my AU, I will point it out. I don't know if this portrayal of transgender on this specific character is original or not, but it is NOT canon. Also, if you dislike it, then I'd like to apologize, but let's be real, I'm not sorry at all. Sure, it may be an unusual character to portray it, but I do not regret anything. It is rare to ever find underrated characters vary from their cannon forms. I like to be different, guys, gals and non-binary pals. Reminder: All genders and sexualities are valid, you are you, don't let society lead you astray from YOUR own believes and what brings you comfort ~Your friendly neighbourhood weirdo

Putting aside what happened the previous day, today is going to be interested. I'm going out with Hito and Mei, and though it may seem off because Hito and me are horrible introverts and don't do well with people, I decided we needed to do this to get our minds off things. Also, I needed to talk to Mei about something important. One last thing that seemed interesting enough to mention now is that the UA entrance exam results are arriving today. Hito and Mei don't know this so this trip will act as a distraction while waiting for the letter to come.

Right now, we walk to the mall, because exercise :)

"Bruh, like yeah, Citizen Soldier is cool and all, but My Chemical Romance though! They're totally better. You can't prove me otherwise," Hitoshi argues.

"Citizen Soldier literally has way more emotional value than MCR!" Mei retorts.

"The hell do you mean! MCR has so much emotional value. And the songs are so relatable! Like, take Teenagers as an example! You can't tell me that isn't eMotIonAl vAlUe," Hitoshi states childishly, and I sigh tiredly in the background.

"IT DOESN'T! CITIZEN SOLDIER CREATES SONGS WHICH HAVE SO MUCH MORE REAL EMOTIONAL VALUE, LIKE LET IT BURN!" Mei screeches, before turning to me for justification. Hitoshi catches on, and turns to me too for support.

"Children, you need to calm down. But if you insist for my opinion, I think that Marina and the Diamonds have billions more emotional value than those two groups," I say, with a smirk.

So we arrive at the mall and we split up. And by we split up, I mean Hitoshi going to Hot Topic and Mei and I being left to our own devices.

"Mei, stroll with me for a while. We need to talk," I say, before speeding up a tad bit. She jogs to my side before matching her pace with mine. We walk in silence for a while before I decide to break it.

"So, how's your brother? Doing well?" I ask, opting to go for small talk before the big topic.

"He's fine... Just wish I could get him away from that house. Mother had been up his case for small things because she no longer sees me enough to constantly scream my flaws in my face. I don't want him to suffer, but there's literally nothing I can do," Mei replies, void of her usual happiness. I can see something was bothering her.

"I'm sorry, Mei. I'm supposed to save people, but I can't do even the slightest thing for your brother," I reply.

Mei looks at me and smiles, before replying," Don't sweat it. It's not your job to save for us, Zuzu, that's what heroes were supposed to do. Society doesn't really let that happen anymore, huh? But anyways, I know damn well that you aren't here to chat around. Whaddya need?"

I chuckle softly, before turning to her. "Mei, you don't like being a girl, do you?"

She looks at me with immense shock, before sighing. "Nothing can get past you huh? Well, not necessarily do I dislike being a girl. D'you ever have that feeling that you feel wrong in your own skin? Like you aren't who you are comfortable with? Because that's what I feel all the time. I just- I feel better when I'm not addressed as a girl. I don't wanna be a girl anymore, wait no, I was never supposed to be a girl. I'm rightfully me as a boy!" Mei preaches, and I stare fondly at her.

"I support you fully, do not worry. I'll start calling you by male pronouns now, since it makes you feel better. Though, I do wish to ask, do you long for permanent change on your body, or are you comfortable enough on settling for a simple binder? Just laying it out, no matter which you choose, I will stay by your side," I assure him and await for his answer.

He stares at me completely shocked, probably not expecting me to except him that easily, which is a huge 'ouch' factor, but I understand. He then gives me a weak smile and says, "I was looking towards permanent change, but i'm not ready. I'll progressively get there, I'll settle with a binder, and maybe a hair cut. Thanks, Zuzu."

I give him a ghost of a smile, and we both walked in silence, before Mei springs up to his normal, cheery self and shouted that he would race me back to our loveable insomnicat. I then wonder if Mei would change his name... Eh, who cares.

(Later on, the two told their purple friend the news, and he accepted him with a lazy, lighthearted smile. And the three went to get boba, because yes.)

As we return home (not the place where the abusive bitch of an uncle is at) , I knew the letters had arrived. Had one not already known, I had set all of our addresses to the abandoned house that we call home now, because why would you send such an important mail to such toxic households? It's a recipe for disaster. I asked the kiddos to go inside and wait for me as I head to the mailbox and find three letters, with our names wrote in fancy ink at the bottom of each letter. I head inside of the house as I call them to gather for a meeting in the living room.

Once they both appear in front of me, I give them a cheshire cat grin. "Wanna know what came in the mail today?" I say as I hide the letters behind me. They look at each other, confused, and then stare at me expectantly. I then hold out the the letters and they stare at me with surprised and excited eyes as they snatch their own cards. We go into random rooms and open the letters.

Tearing the letter open, there was a disk which automatically switched on, revealing a projection of Nezu. Interesting. At least it wasn't Bitch Might.

"Hello, little one! Tis is I, the chimera of your nightmares! Anywho, congratulations on passing the exam with the highest score in the history of Support Course. Your building skills and quick planning are spectacular and I do wish to see you grow into an even more terrifying figure, but we have time for that later on. Besides your success in joining the support course, you will also have hero course classes, as we have settled on during our lively discussion. The boundaries you have set for your participation in the course has already been explained and implemented, so no need to worry! Well, since there is nothing else to say, I do hope to see you around, Omoikane-kun! The details of the first day can be found in the letter that is inside the mail, besides this disk. Other than that, there is nothing left to say. As a certain blonde would say, come child, this is now your Hero Academia," the Nezu projection says, before the light flickers out. That chimera never fails to amuse me. Well then, we have a week before school starts, time to get prepared, I guess.

(And if Izuku had heard two thrilled screams of joy in the background, no one was going to say anything about it)

Author's note: Oh my lord, it's been so busy and stressful! School is hard, man. This chapter honestly sucks, and there isn't much conflict or excitement. I just really needed to get out that Mei is now a transgender boy, and absolutely no one should judge him. Anyways, the next chapter is going to be about the boys' first day at UA, and there is probably going to be chaos. Also, next chapter, y'all will probably see Mei as a full boy, but note that he still has not done any permanent change on his body. Besides that, there isn't much to say. Oh, and yes, Marina and the Diamonds is my favourite singer, because her songs are amazing! Sorry to all the MCR and Citizen Soldier fans out there, I actually really like their songs too, but my queen Marina is on top. With that, just remember, you are valid! Adios ~Your Friendly Neighbourhood Weirdo
