Ian’s P.O.V.

“AAAAAHHHHH!! FACK!! THAT HUURRRTTTSSSS!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. “Well I thought that that’d help you, but the screaming seems to prove otherwise.” She said sarcastically. My wing hurt like hell and this girl doesn’t seem to be fazed by the dragon wings on my back, which was strange since whenever someone saw me they’d either call my brother to kill me or they’d try and kill me themselves. After about a minute of observing her I jumped up onto a higher branch and prepared to try and fly away. When I jumped up higher into the air, so I could let my wings spread, the girl had jumped up onto the branch I had been standing on just a second ago. She yelled something at me but I didn’t hear her. My wings spread but immediately a burning pain shot through my wing and I started falling down to the ground. I hit the ground and blacked out.

                                                        ==================================

When I woke up it looked to be around dusk. Damn I was out for a long time. I looked around and saw that I was back in the tree except I wasn't on a branch. I was on a small platform only able to hold five people. I was leaned against a sturdy branch. My wing was still burning with pain. I saw the girl crouched down next to me with a stick in her hand. “Are you awake yet?” The girl asked sounding a little annoyed. She just poked me with the stick. “Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you?” She repeated. Every time she said it she poked me with that damn stick. “YEEES I am.”  I said getting increasingly annoyed by her constantly poking me with the stick. She stopped after she heard me. “Good.” She said plainly. And then she poked me with that stupid stick again. “What was that for?” I asked annoyed. “Because I like to poke things with sticks, that’s why. Deal with it fool.” She said pretty confidently and playfully. “What’s your name anyways? All I know about you so far is that you don’t know how to fly. So what’s your name?” She said sarcastically. “My name is Ian. What’s your name? And also why did you help me? You’re a human and I’m a hybrid.” I asked curiously and matter-of-factly. “My name is Kat! And I helped you cause I felt like it.” She said with some excitement and in a cause-I-felt-like-it kind of tone.  Well “Kat” sure had a lot of confidence inside her, that’s for sure. “So ‘Kat’ what are you doing all the way out here?” I asked curiously. “Uhhhhhh,” she was hesitating for some reason. “Because I like it out here and there are tons of trees for me to climb.” She said in quite a hurry. There’s something off about this girl. “I’m hungry. I WANT FOOOOOOD!!” She yelled at non one in particular. She saw my slightly confused face and said,"I haven't eaten in 3 or 4 days, don't judge." I raised my hands up in defense. I just realized I had been so focused on the girl and my no longer dislocated wing, I forgot to check to see if there was any damage to my other wing. I looked over to my left to see my wing perfectly fine, there were only a few scratches here and there. I folded it and unfolded it for a bit to make sure I could still use it to a certain extent. Kat seemed interested in it and she crawled, ironically like a cat, over to my wing. She felt the leathery skin between the bones. "Coool. How'd this happen to you? Where you born like this? Did it happen by accident? Is it weird having wings as extra limbs? Do you have a tail? Why are your wings a little purple but mainly black?" Kat questioned hurriedly. "ONE QUESTION AT A TIME." I said with my voice raised at a higher volume. "........." She went silent. "Ok. I'd rather not discuss how this," I gestured to my wings, I had put my good wing out flat beside me so I could rest it. "happened, right now. No it's not weird having wings as extra limbs. It was at first but not anymore. Yes I do have a tail." I brought my tail out from underneath me and made it slither in the air a little, and then I brought it back to the platform. "And I don't know why my wings are slightly purple but mainly black." I finished speaking. "Cool," She said plainly, yawned, and then continued, "I'm tired." She crawled, like a cat again, next to me and  layed down on my good wing, where she curled up and fell asleep. So now even if I wanted to try and get away, I couldn't. Great. Juust great. Oh well, might as well go to sleep too.
