14. Painting

Razor's Perspective

Yesterday was pretty unproductive, but I had time to spend with Bennett and that's all I care about.

Being with him and just seeing him, already makes me happy. If anything happens to him I don't know what will happen to me.

"Hey Razor" Bennett says.

"What is it Bennett? Do you need help with something?"

"Not really, I was just about to tell you that the science competition won't be starting in a couple of weeks, it has been canceled since yesterday. But don't worry! The competition got canceled because our vacation is coming up! So we can study at that time."

When he said "Vacation" my eyes widened and I was happy that we're getting one.

"How about everyone else?" I ask.

"Almost everyone except Fischl, Xingqiu, Chongyun, and the teachers."

When I heard Fischl and Xingqiu didn't get a vacation I felt slightly relieved, until I heard that the teachers weren't getting a vacation. I felt bad but it was mostly covered up by Bennett telling me not to worry all the time.

"Bennett, Razor, our vacation starts in 4 days, What should we do?" Lumine said coming from no where.

"Lumine! You scared the crap out of me!" Bennett said in an annoyed tone of voice.

And then Amber came and tried to scare me, but I didn't flinch.

"Aww, I thought I could make you scream like Bennett did, maybe Lumine is just better at suprising others."

We all laugh as we head inside the school.

I was never really good at art and was struggling to make clay sculptures, but Bennett helped me out along the way.

"Ok class, so today we will be doing a project about painting! You will all pick a partner and you will paint each other! Goodluck everyone!"

"Thanks Mrs. Hu Tao" the whole class says syncronized.

So I choose Bennett as a partner, Amber chooses Lumine, Venti choosing Xiao, and so on.

"Bennett.. I'm not good with painting..."

"Don't worry Razor! I can help!"

"Thanks Bennett..."

We start painting and I couldn't really catch the details of Bennett's perfect face, when we were about to show our paintings to the class, I was really nervous and didn't want them to laugh at my painting.

"Razor, don't be nervous, I like your painting! It's wonderful!"

"Bennett, don't lie to me..."

"Razor, I'm not lying." Bennett looks at me in the eyes with a serious face.

I wanted to hold in my laugh but I couldn't, his face went pink and we were called.

"Bennett, Razor, show your breathtaking masterpieces!"

We flipped them and the whole class was clapping, except for two, Fischl and Xingqiu, they were pinning their eyes on my painting criticizing it. I felt nervous but they kept their mouths shut.

When we headed out I felt a bit discouraged, and Bennett noticed.

"Hey Razor, are you ok? The class loved your painting."

"Fischl and Xingqiu, they were giving weird looks at my painting.."

"Don't mind them Razor! Focus on everyone else! Take the positive energy instead of the negative ones. I know critisism is also good for development but don't take it too seriously!"

His words made me feel better as we head to our next class, I completely forgot about the incident when we headed out of school. Bennett offered to buy ice cream and I accepted his offer.

I never knew his favorite flavor was chocolate. So simple yet so delicious.

"Hey Razor." Bennett calls.

I hum in response.

"Where do you think is a good place for a vacation."

"The water."

"Hmm, interesting choice, there aren't many beaches around this area so lets just go to Lumine's house."

"Why Lumine?"

"She has a pool! It's very big in fact."

I haven't really been in a pool for a long time, the only times I remember was when I was a little kid.

We head out of the shop as we bump into Lumine and Aether.

"Hey guys" Aether says.

"Hello! We were about to head home." Bennett replys.

We had a small conversation until we finally part and head home. I'm excited for this vacation to start.
