An Unexpected Couple

18. Winter

Bennett's Perspective

It was freezing cold the past few weeks. Razor didn't like winter, he said it was too cold for him and he wanted summer back instead.

"Razor, are you ok?" I ask in worry.

"N-no, freezing c-cold..."

"Should I turn off the fan?"

"Sure..."

I turn off the fan and ask my dad if he could make some soup, he agreed.

"Here you go Razor"

"Is this..soup?"

"Yes, my dad made it, hope you like it"

"Thank you"

Razor eats his soup on the bed while his body is covered with blankets, he looked so cute in a way that I wanted to join him.

I made my way to the bed and tucked myself in the blankets with Razor.

"Razor.. your skin is so cold-"

Razor hugged me tight since I was warm, and I couldn't really escape so I just let him be.

"Razor, do you think we can go to school tomorrow?"

"Mmhh.. I don't know.."

"I can lend you my jacket, it's very warm"

"Ok"

The next day, we go to school and grab our books, the science competition was today too.

"Razor, are you ready for the competition?"

"Uhh... I guess.."

Razor headed to the science lab and waited for everyone to be there.

Razor's Perspective

I was already seated when I saw Albedo go through the door.

"Albedo?!"

"Oh, Razor, never knew you'd join the competition"

"I didn't expect you to be here too.."

After Albedo got seated, a girl with mint hair and round glasses came in the room, she seemed shy since she didn't speak to anyone, although she spoke to Albedo.

"Goodmorning Albedo senpai"

"Sucrose.. I told you to call me Albedo, no need to call me senpai"

"But you're a higher grade.."

"It's fine Sucrose, I don't mind if you just call me Albedo"

As soon as the girl Sucrose was about to say something, another girl came in with long dark blue hair.

"Hello Mona" It seemed like Albedo knew who she was.

I felt a bit lonely since I didn't know anyone here except for Albedo.

"Ok, is everybody here?" I hear a deep voice coming from outside the door as I see Mr. Zhongli enter the room.

"Yes, Mr. Zhongli" we all replied.

"Ok, we shall start"

Bennett's Perspective

I hope Razor is doing ok, so that we can be together in the snow and have fun.

"Hey Amber, when does the science competition end?" I ask.

"It ends before our last class"

I was relieved because it was almost time, and as I saw Razor with a bright big smile on his face, he ran and hugged me tight.

"I was First place!" Razor shouted in joy.

"What? That's amazing!"

"Congrats Razor" Albedo said in a calm tone, with his hand on his head and a smile on his face.

"Oh, Albedo, I was worried that you might be first place" Razor said.

"Well I didn't get much sleep last night so I couldn't really hear the questions well, so most of the time I was dozing off"

"I see, get some rest" I said.

After our last class we headed to the nearby tree and sat there.

The snow falling, and the warmth of Razor's body made me feel so happy.

"Bennett are you sleepy?"

"Oh.. you noticed? Hehe.. yeah sort of.."

"Here, sleep"

Razor made space for me between his legs and I snuggled myself into him.

I fell asleep in almost an instant while Razor was stroking my hair.

I woke up with a sleeping Razor and a setting sun.

I stood up and removed the snow off me while I took my phone out of my pocket, it was Already 6:34 PM and we had to get out of the school grounds, so I woke Razor up and headed outside the school.

"Razor, how was your sleep?"

"It was great how about you?"

"Warm" I chuckle.

I texted my dad that I would be home late since I was having lots of fun with Razor.

It was late at night and there weren't many cars around so I went to the middle of the road and started dancing.

Razor was watching me from the sidewalk until I saw light coming from the corner of my eye.

It was a car.

I couldn't move from the sight and I felt someone push me out of the way, while they were the one that got hit.

"R-razor.. RAZOR!"

The sound of a car slow down, and my hard breathing filled my ears, as I ran towards Razor, who saved me from the crash.

"Razor.. Razor.."

I call 911 and tell them what happened, while the driver of the car got out and checked to see if we were ok.

The police came with paramedics helping me and Razor, they bring us to the hospital and check on what happened to Razor.

"Doctor is everything ok?!"

"I'm sorry to say, but you're boyfriend is in a coma and we hope that he will recover soon"

Tears started to form in my eyes as I thanked the doctor and checked on Razor.

Just seeing him like this made me feel so guilty, and I wish I never have done what I did, I kept apologizing over and over until my tears dried and my voice weared out.

I headed home alone and told my dad about everything.
