i dont need your help; k. bakugou

sitting in the cafeteria during lunch, mina and sero exchange a look. she had told sero about her plan to ask bakugou about y/n, and what he thought of her, and sero had grinned and said he couldnt wait to see what he'd say.

now, though, bakugou was nowhere to be found. he left the last class before lunch as quickly as possible and hadnt showed up to lunch. kaminari, oblivious to the looks mina and sero were exchanging, pipes up, "guys...wheres bakugou? does he usually skip lunch?"

"no, he doesnt. i've no idea where he is," mina sighs and sero nods in agreement, also at a loss for where bakugou could be. "i'll call him."

she dials his number and lets the phone ring, but it goes to voicemail after a few seconds and she groans.

"i'll text y/n, see if she knows anything about this," mina says, and kaminari looks confused.

"who's y/n?" he asks.

sero resists the urge to slap his forehead and tries not to sound like someone who had repeatedly stated the same thing many times (because he has told denki this a hundred times before), "she's the one who designed and built my hero costume. she's also friends with midoriya. theyre in the support course together."

"oh! right. but why would she know where bakugou is?" denki asks, because he was never told about mina's idea for her to offer bio help to their friend.

"they've been talking," mina says slowly. "not a lot. just about biology work. and fixing his hero costume."

"oh does she need bio help?" kaminari asks, clueless to the fact bakugou might need it. and because he'd made mina swear on her fur coats grave that she wouldnt tell a soul that he was struggling with it, she had to just nod and agree.

"something like that, yeah."

she pulls out her phone and opens her messages with y/n.

y/n, in the middle of designing a gadget to support sero's elbows during fights, looks down at her phone when the screen brightens. seeing its a text from mina, she smiles and picks it up off the table.
