Inside her mind, Minji was cursing her best friend, in both Korean and English— like the bilingual queen she is. Or so she calls herself, at least. The woman could barely speak any language at all as of the moment. It seems every word known to her existence was completely erased from her brain, all intellect and energy is being used to focus on one task, and one task only: try not to murder the man she absolutely loathes, who happens to be standing at her front door.
'Nice house.'
His voice was deep. Deep and breathy, with a slight rasp to it, one you would usually hear in men as they wake up from a deep slumber. It was hot, to put it simply, but Minji would wheel herself off a cliff before ever admitting to that fact.
She was taken back to a time where the girls she knew would effortlessly fall for him purely by listening to him talking. And he talks very little, this man. He talks in short sentences, he talks when he needs to. He talks intentionally. And that, made him all the more attractive. He was this 'mysterious' persona that girls would often wanted to 'explore'. He used to wear a cap nearly everywhere he goes, hiding his eyes underneath it, which just increases his 'attractiveness level', a meter system they used to have back in her university among the girls.
'Yes, thanks. Why is she unconscious and on the floor?'
'Well, if you were three minutes earlier to the door you could've still gotten your friend here, not unconscious. '
While many find his voice charming, she finds it irritating. Minji swore the man enjoys talking a hell lot more around her, just to piss her off. It seems to her as if he intentionally puts together strings of sentences that would serve to aggravate her, testing her limits. The fact that those sentences more often than not would succeed in bringing about a reaction out of herself makes it that much more infuriating.
Minji narrowed her eyes, biting back any words that would just feed into his amusement furhter. 'Just help me get her up and inside my house.'
But alas, despite the dry reply, he still manages to turn the situation to serve him. He sent her a sly smile, 'If I didn't know any better it sounded as if you were excited to have me in your house.'
I would be if it meant I could burn this entire house and leave you to die. Legally.
'If I didn't know any better, it sounded as if you're the one excited to want to be inside my own house. Don't get any ideas though, wouldn't want to let you down.'
He was unfazed. Hell, he even chuckled at her reply, before continuing to help Ah In inside the house, picking her up gently. For someone that was almost as big as she was, he was quite strong, Minji thought to herself. Her eyes automatically fixated itself onto the man's arms as the subtle muscles flexed whilst carrying Ah In in his arms.
Feeling her cheeks turning red and getting warm, Minji quickly averted her eyes and rushed to the living room. Once the man plops Ah In onto her couch, Minji spoke up again.
'Alright, your services has ended. Thank you, goodnight and goodbye.'
Minji walked to the entrance door and opened it, gesturing for the man to get out.
The man raised his eyebrows as his heart shaped lips formed a mischievous smile. 'Now, now, it's not kind to shoo a hero after saving the day, you know.'
Minji could swore one of her eyes twitched. 'You aren't exactly Iron Man, are you? Out.'
'Ouch.' The man pouted, jutting out his lower lips and widening his eyes. When Minji scowled in disgust, the man held up his hands in defeat.
'Fine, fine, I'll leave.' The man walks towards the entrance door. 'See you around, Minji. Tonight was fun.' He threw a wink before exiting her house, leaving Minji standing in pure disbelief, disgust and... a little flustered? Minji shuddered at the last adjective.
Recollecting herself, she slammed the door shut and let out a small scream. 'Stupid ass Doh Kyungsoo.'
