[messages between Harmony and Rosie]

Harms
What are you planning to do for thanksgiving?

Rosie
Not going home that's for sure

Harms
I know what mom did was bad but you can't just not go home every year

Rosie
She stole custody of my goddaughter Harmony. I don't care that I was too young to be sole care for her but it's been five years. I should have her with me but because of you mother I don't

Harms
Then come get her. Come home this year, I agree that she should be with her godmother not our mom.

Rosie
I have to tell Chris. If we are doing this this year he needs to know

Harms
I would tell him in person and explain everything. Better than how you explained it to Josalynn

Rosie
Yea that was bad, I'm about to be at his place. I text you what happens later.

Rose grabbed the spare key inside the plant and unlocked Chris' apartment. She was immediately greeted by Dodger running up to her, barking happily.

"Hey buddy, is your dad here?" She said, squaring down to scratch Dodger behind his ear.

"One of these days I should really just leave the front door unlocked for you," Chris' voice came from the entrance of the kitchen.

"You really should, that way I don't have to remember to put the spare key back." Rose joked before walking up and pulling her boyfriend into a hug. "Are you cooking? Should I be scared?"

Chris rolled his eyes at her. He was a decent chef, at least he could cook edible food. And he told her that anytime she tried making fun of his skills in the kitchen. The couple made their way to the kitchen, followed closely by Dodger.

Once the simple chicken dinner Chris had started finished, they sat at the dining table and ate. Rose was being unusually quiet, trying to think of a way to explain the situation to her boyfriend, and said boyfriend noticed the strange quietness of his extroverted girlfriend.

"Rose, love, are you okay? You're unusually quiet," Chris asked, grabbing Roses hand with his own in a comforting way. "If something is bothering you, you know you can tell me."

Rose took a deep breath, nodding slightly before she went into explaining what was happening.

*flashback october 2012*

"Rose, Julianna has gone into labor," Harmony said, her tone full of excitement. It wasn't everyday you're cousin and best friend has their first kid.

"My godbaby is coming?" Rose asked. Even though she was only sixteen, Julianna Dixon-Jones had picked Rose to be the godmother of her baby. She knew how much kids have always been something Rose dreamed of, so if anything were to happen to her, there would be no one better than her to take care of the baby.
