Her head was spinning so much that she had no idea what way the room was meant to be. Her lips were kissing Shawn's, she couldn't even remember how she got herself into this situation. Then her head clicked. Lauren. Where was she? Had she seen? Would she be annoyed? Suddenly, she felt her hand being grabbed and Normani yanked her away, leaving Shawn stood alone and extremely complexed. She dragged the brunette into the kitchen, leaned against the counter and gave her a glass of water for her to sip on. She had never seen her friend so drunk, her head was dipped, her eyes barely open and her body slowly fell to the side until Normani grabbed her and held her up.
"Normani..." Camila slurred, her head rolling back as she tried to look at her concerned best friend, "I kissed... the boy."
"What?" She responded, holding her head up straight. "Camila, you're so drunk."
"I kissed Shawn so nothing... nothing to worry... worry about," she continued to slur, her head then dropping, her consciousness slipping away.
"Camila, you idiot," Normani huffed before explaining, "I know about you and Lauren, okay? You have nothing to worry about or to hide."
"No, no, you... you don't know because I kissed... I kissed a boy," Camila brokenly explained with her words coming out slower and her mouth not being able to produce words properly.
Never in her life had she seen Camila so drunk and now it made sense because she was keeping a massive secret from everyone which was bound to take a toll. Sternly, she told Camila to stay put as she tracked down Ally who was chatting to a boy in the upstairs corridor. She explained the brunette's drunk state to her and both of girls went back to Camila who was then stood with Shawn again. Luckily, they hadn't done anything but it was clear from Shawn he was trying to make another move. Before it could continue, Ally and Normani disrupted their conversation and forced Shawn to leave them alone because they were going to take her home. There was no way she could survive any longer at this party. Putting Camila's arm around her shoulders, Ally began dragging her out as Normani said she would meet her in the car soon, there was just someone she had to go see and she needed to find Dinah. Luckily, Dinah was in the garden and Normani told her they were all going yet Dinah wasn't phased. She was a social butterfly and told her she'd get a ride from someone else but also teased at the fact her other friend was a lightweight. Soon, Normani returned to Lauren who still had her head in her hands and clearly hadn't moved from when she was last here.
"We're going now, are you going to be okay?" Normani asked, crouching down as she rested her hands on the cheerleader's knees.
"Yeah, thanks," she quickly replied, not looking at Normani and the girl could tell that she was taking this hard and she wasn't sure whether or not to leave her alone. She really hadn't listened to Normani, she was stuck in her own head.
"Do you want to stay at mine? You and Camila can talk in the morning?" Normani offered, lightly yanking her hands away so she could really pay attention to her, "I don't want you to be left alone, just come with us."
Slowly, she stood up shyly and nodded, she was very appreciative of Camila's friend, they were nice and understanding and Lauren had wished she had made the same decision when it came to friends. She followed her to where Ally's car was, cutting through the crowds of the party and Lauren's hand clenched when she saw Shawn carelessly chatting away to his friends. Shaking her head, she attempted to clear her mind from the memory of them. Once at the car, Camila was passed out in the passenger seat and Ally was bobbing her head to the radio. Lauren and Normani jumped into the back whilst Ally stared confusingly at Normani in the wing mirror. Her reply was a discreet head shake but Ally knew she would explain it all at a later date.
As the car took off, Normani quietly spoke to the green-eyed girl, "so, you going to tell me about you and Camila?"
"There's not much to tell," Lauren replied dryly with her eyes focused on everything outside the window.
