Min Yoongi, 27, born in Daegu.

Min Yoongi works an office job, under a man named Bang Sikhyuk as an administrative assistant.
Or for lack of better terms, a receptionist.

Not that he couldn’t get a better job, oh no, Yoongi was smart.
Got a doctorate in Business Administration. He could get another job and a bigger position if he wanted, easy.
But what many didn’t understand is that Yoongi, with his plush, doll-like features and a seemingly sweet demeanor, was beautiful.
Almost always being complimented and praised for his hard work, but almost always in his looks and body.
He was proud, confident.
Scarily so.

He reveled in the attention, he got off on knowing that he was the prettiest person in that office, rivaling even the women in the office.
He worked for a big company after all, HYBE Corporation, a company that did this and that. Entertainment mostly, but they did a lot. Yoongi couldn’t tell you.

Most people there were pencil pushers who just tried to meet the daily quota for the day and Yoongi himself did have to do work like this sometimes but it was rare.
Despite his position as a receptionist, he was almost always traveling right next to those of importance, CEO’s, Directors, Administration.
All because of his looks and slick tongue.

He wasn’t a social butterfly persay, quite the opposite, preferring to stay in his own bubble only talking to others if it were absolutely needed.
He put on a smile for everyone.
Pliant.

If you didn’t know him. That’s what he looks and acts like.

But if you got to know Min Yoongi, the true Min Yoongi.
You’re lucky to come out whole again.

Yoongi had been dubbed by his close peers a name of which he could not remember.
He couldn’t care to ask them what they thought of him.

He already knew what they thought of him.

They were jealous of what he had, and how he used it.

He was of the upper class, living in the good part of Seoul. The rich neighbors, with the foreigners and the celebrities and CEO’s.

Right where he belonged, is what he thought.

Yoongi believed that you should always stick to what you’re good at, and he was good at grabbing people's attention.
If you put him up against someone with a gun and he had a knife, he would win based on his wits alone.

Not that anyone tried to intentionally hurt him.
Despite the jealousy of his peers, he knew that they were threatened and afraid of him.
He loved it.

How they all tried to get on his good side, the fake smiles and “Wow Yoongi-nim, you’re so pretty today” or the “You’re too kind, Yoongi-ah..”’s he didn’t care that they feared him, as long as he was the center of attention.

The order of things, the hierarchy, he believed in all of it. You think they end with petty high school squabbles and cliques, but the fact of life is that everyone has their place in life. Some will be at the top, naturally and that’s where Min Yoongi thought he belonged.

God forbid someone tried to challenge that.
Anyone that did, would face his wrath.

He’s short in stature, so many underestimate just how aggressive and violent he could get. He remembers an incident, in which Kim Seokjin, a fellow coworker had spilled coffee all over his white dress shirt.
He was seething, so much so that when Kim Seokjin was walking out the building late at night he had told a few of his husband's friends to go and “rough him up a bit”.

He doesn’t remember much after that, other than the fact that he didn’t come to work the rest of that week.

He would’ve done it himself, as he’d done before. But he wanted to keep his mask on for a while longer for his peers.

In Yoongi’s opinion, the thugs should’ve and could’ve done worse.
Should’ve done it myself , was his only thoughts on the incident.

However, at home, he could be himself.
With his Husband, Kim Namjoon.

They had married each other young and on a whim, they each needed one another.

Not for love, but out of necessity.
Yoongi might've been capable of loving at some point in his life. Sometime when he was younger, most likely.
He didn’t remember.

Didn’t care to,anyways.

It was a quick and private thing, they signed the papers. Got one another rings, and said silly vows to solidify it. No priest however, Yoongi would soon realize Namjoon wasn’t one for organized religion.
To say his sister was shocked, was an understatement. She was angry with him for not inviting her to the wedding, but all he could remedy her with was the excuse that “A marriage like ours, isn’t really one that should be public. After all, there are many who would try and stop something like that if it was made public, Yoonji.”

Yoongi’s relationship with Namjoon was dysfunctional and he would describe it as only that, it was a mutualistic, dysfunctional, marriage.
That’s it, that’s exactly what it is.

Those words don't go together but neither do Yoongi and Namjoon.

Yet, somehow they made it work for each of them in the best way.

What Yoongi wanted from Namjoon was his attention, his money, and his power. All of those made Yoongi who he is today and he isn’t trying to go back to how it was before.

For Yoongi it was a constant battle between himself, and the people in power.
He didn’t hate those in power, he envied them and although he didn’t want to admit it, deep down he fucking hated himself because of that.
He wanted to be the one in power.

He needed to be in control, in some way in order to get through this life and Namjoon gave him that in some way. He let Yoongi, spend, fuck and do whatever and whoever he wanted.
He didn’t quite understand Namjoon, he considered him more of a partner than a husband.

He was handsome, devilish in a way he couldn’t understand. He was almost like Yoongi, yet he was so different from him.
Quiet, contained and always wearing a mask. Sometimes they were different depending on the social setting, but that was the Kim Namjoon he knew and he didn’t really care to know more.

He did cherish his life after all.

**

Today was a weird day for Yoongi.
His stepsister, Min Yoon-ji, was moving in next door to him and Namjoon with her boyfriend Jungkook.

He has met Jungkook a few times before, he seemed sweet, innocent, like a naive little boy who was shocked to have gotten “so lucky”, is what the boy said. Yoongi felt sick after that.

He couldn’t stand people like Jungkook, they didn’t get it.
And when they ended up understanding the ways of the world, they would try to “fix it” somehow.
He thought it was a waste of time, trying to fix something that was flawed.

But if sweet little Jungkook wanted to “fight the power” then he could.
Just as long as he understood his place when it came to Yoongi.

Yoongi has no intention to become friends with Jungkook, and if it took him being himself in order to do that, so be it.

It was weird however, how Namjoon, who does usually wear a mask, has taken interest in Jungkook.
Yoongi wondered why, hell even asked him when they got home and Namjoons’ only reply was “Why should you care?” the audacity of that asshole , he thought.

Yoongi hated Jungkook for that reason, he didn’t love Namjoon. But he needed Namjoon to focus on him, and give him what he needed. Not just because he deserved it, hell he was here first and honestly, Jungkook wasn’t about to win first place when it came to Namjoon. He cannot be second place.

Perhaps he did need Namjoon, but he would dwell on that later.

He cursed his sister for wanting to live so close to him, she knows that he hates it when she does shit like this. Yoonji will be hearing about this later, he knows she knows that.

The Min siblings were vastly different, Yoonji being sugar and Yoongi being the salt. They balanced one another out, and sometimes he would let his guard down around her, she saw his true colors yet never decided to leave his side.
He thought it was to spite him at first, but Yoonji seems to care deeply for Yoongi despite the lack of emotional and mental support he gave her.

Maybe it was her belief in god that made her so forgiving and kind.
Yoongi was more like his own mother anyways.

He stopped believing in god as soon as he married Namjoon.

As much as Yoongi hates a lot of what his sister does, he does have a little respect for her. It’s inevitable when you’ve grown up together.

Today was weird for Min Yoongi, but this wouldn’t be the only weird day for him.
It only gets worse from here.
