I stared down at the person I had tackled, and realized I was holding my stone sword to a squiggling and screaming piglet. I furrowed my brows in confusion, feeling stupid. I slowly backed off, but just as I was going to stand a figure taller than me tackled me, myself screaming obviously. The piglet ran off squealing for it's mother and my sword was knocked out of my hands, my head hitting the ground. I winced, my vision blurry a few moments as I looked up at whatever, or whoever had tackled me.
What I saw was some guy my age. My jaw dropped, then shut, my jaw setting with fury.
"Get off!" I yelled. The guy smirked, grinning down at me. I brought my fist to punch him, but he just grabbed my wrist and pinned my arms to the sides of my head.I flattened my ears, glaring daggers at this jerk. "Who the heck are you? Get off!!" I demanded.
"I could ask you the same thing. And since I obviously have the advantage in this situation. You go first. What's your name?" He drawled."Watch out."
"Hu-" He was cut off at I brought my knee up, and since he was basically straddling me ... Let's just say the position only made delivering pain pretty easy.
He groaned, rolling onto his side and clutching at his gut or whatever. I shoved him away from me, and bolted away. He yelled after me,and pretty soon I heard his pounding footsteps behind me. I had learned that you don't look behind you at your pursuer unless you have to, or you are in a clear area. Otherwise you could end up body slamming into a tree or wall or something."Come back!" He hollared. I figured he was at least 10 feet behind me, and grumbled unhappily under my breath. He was gaining ground on me.
I kept my eyes on a branch ahead, and when close enough, leaped. It only took me a few moments to scramble up farther into the tree. By then he was at the base, glaring up at me. "Get down here!" He demanded.
"Gonna go cry to your momma?" I called down, giving a toothy grin. Smoke was basically billowing out of his ears by now and I laughed.
"Shut up!"
"Make me, momma's boy." I replied childishly, unable to help another laugh."You are going to regret that when I chop this tree down and get my hands on you!"
"For a hug?"
"Wh.. No!" He fumed."Oh. Well then I best be going."
"Where? You can't get down." He said triumphantly.
"Oh really? Watch me."
"How?"Suddenly I jumped, my tail flaring out behind me as I easily landed in the next tree. "Hey!" He yelled, chasing after me from the ground.
"Desperate." I chuckled, running across the tree and jumping to the next. I did this to a few trees, and noticed he still didn't give up.
"Go home, momma's boy!" I yelled down at him.
"Not till you get your stupid tail down here!"
"Who's the stupid one?" I asked. After a couple more minutes of bickering and running across some trees, I really realized he wasn't going to give up. So I sat my butt down on a branch, staring down at him. I was kinda tired now.
"What do you want?" I asked, puffing some hair from infront of my green eyes.
"I dunno really. Just come down here." He shrugged.
"Are you going to tackle me?" I asked suspiciously."No."
"I don't believe youuuu.." I cooed.
"Please. I promise."
"Aww. Well, since you asked so nicely." I said, neatly jumping down onto the ground in front of him and smiling."I'm Tony. Who are you?" He asked, looking at me curiously.
"Red."
He chuckled.
"Are you laughing at me?" I asked, glaring slightly.
"No no..no. I just thought it was sorta funny how your name matches your tail.. and ears."
"Yeaaa..." I twiched my ears."Why are you out here?" He suddenly asked.
"Just 'cause."
"I see.." He said, not seeming convinced.
"My brother moved out today. Just wanted to get away from the house..." I explained"When do you move out?" He asked.
"Couple weeks." I said. Time passed faster in minecraft, so weeks weren't very long at all. Compared to a year or something at least."I move out in a few days." He said.
"Cool. Planning to go anywhere specific?"
By now we were sitting in the trees, next to each other."I don't know. I'm a farmer, so I guess being in a flat area would be nice."
"I want to go to the plains or a forest." I said. He gave me a long look. I didn't know what it was for though.Suddenly he took ahold of my hand, entwining our fingers. My cheeks flushed. Surprise, flattery, or embarassment I have no idea.
"Can we meet again?" He asked.
"Yea.. Sure.""Awesome. Where do you live?"
"West of here. Through the trees."
"I live on the outside of the village, north."I nodded. He kissed my hand, jumping down. "Meet me here, just after noon tomorrow." He told me. I just numbly nodded again. He smiled, and then walked off, not looking back. Slowly I slid down the trunk and made my way home too, since it was starting to grow dark. I found my sword too, and brought it back home.
