68 : Reunion

Alberth quickly runs out of the room to see me.

Whoosh!

"Woah.." I almost fall if only Karl didn't catch me.

I widen my eyes. "Did you jump?" 

Karl doesn't say  anything, his eyes keep staring at me. I look at the balcony behind him, it's is pretty far from each other. 'His legs sure are strong.'

Suddenly, Karl holds my shoulder, making sure I don't move around. 

"Look at me."

I lift my head and start looking at him. Slowly, my hand starts lifting by itself, touching his cold pale face. The wind outside slowly dances his black hair. I look deep into his eyes, those have always been captivating to me.

"It's been a while, hmm?" I giggle, still looking at him.  Just like years ago, his silent behavior hasn't changed. But his face sure change a bit. Well alright, A LOT! His face has become more structured, not much fat. His eyes are just as beautiful as ever and his eyebrows are more defined. I can see little dark circles under his eyes, but that doesn't reduce his dashing look.

'Man, why are you so handsome!'  I look down and close my eyes, cursing myself for admitting that.

"You look beautiful, wife." 

I quickly lift my head up. "T-thank you?"

Karl smiles. That's the smile he rarely shows. God, this is torture! He looks cunning, I might bleed my nose! He grabs my waist and pull me closer to him. Slowly, he hides his face on my neck and tighten his hug.

"Mommy!" Alberth runs to me. He would have reached me if only Karl didn't suddenly pull me away.

"Dad! Let me hug her." 

Karl doesn't say say anything. He's still comfortable with his position right now. 

"Welcome back, mommy." Alberth smiles at me as he reaches out to hold my hand. But Karl suddenly pulls my hand before I can hold Alberth. He totally locks me in his arms as he hides his face.

"Karl! Let me hug Alberth."

He doesn't say a word.

"I need to hug him too." I say as I pat his chest.

"No, you're mine only." I widen my eyes, Karl's voice seems trembling.

"Karl? Are you okay?"

Kenn suddenly runs inside and walks towards us.

"What is going on in here?"

I can feel my neck wet. I begin to sigh. "Why are you crying?"

I lift both of my hands and put them around his neck. His hug tighten, doesn't say anything huh?

"Husband, let me look at you." I pat his shoulder to calm him down.

"I miss you, so missing you." he whispers, making sure I'm the only one who can hear him.

I smile, "Me too." 

"Now come on, let go of me for a while."

"You don't know how many nights I've spent walking like a dead man without you."

I roll my eyes. 'You always do that even with me by your side'

"Why are you acting like a baby now? Where is the usual cold bloody man? Come on! let me clean your face..."

Karl finally let go. I can see his teary eyes even though he has wiped them off before he lifts his head.

"Now look at you, you've lost dignity now." I chuckle as I caress his face lightly before I finally look at Kenn and Alberth.
