The next thing Bakugou knew, he was playing with Dandelion for the next two solid hours. He had opened the bag beforehand and found a couple of toys in there, to which he tossed out a few.
Bakugou watched with wistful eyes as the white and red patched cat chased the jingle bell ball across the room, smacking the toy playfully as it repeated the process over and over again.
The door was knocked and Bakugou lifted his head, his eyes moving from the cat to the door.
"Come in." He replied and the door clicked open.
Haruno stepped in, a shit-eating grin on her face with a blue plastic bag in her arm.
"I knew you'd love the cat." She teased, only to be hit by a rubber mouse.
"Oi, shut up, shit ears." He snapped slightly at Haruno.
Then her expression changed.
"Is it alright if Kirishima-san came in? He has some bags for the cat." She asked Bakugou, whose face paled for a mild second.
He wanted to shout no. He didn't want anyone to see his room like this. It wasn't like anyone would have imagined it. And he certainly didn't want his crush walking into his room.
Kirishima could see Bakugou's collection of BLs and manhwas.
But for whatever reason, the answer that rolled off Bakugou's tongue was nothing like the answer he wanted to say.
"Sure, whatever." He answered and was surprised with himself to say the least.
Haruno blinked at him in disbelief, but then slowly allowed Kirishima to enter. The red-head male stepped through the doorway, and was surprised to say the least. For a long while, the Baku-Squad had actually been wondering what Bakugou's room looked like. And it was nothing compared to the real thing.
Bakugou didn't look up, however. He kept his eyes trained on the cat.
"Whoa, your room is so cool, Baku-bro!" Kirishima commented.
Bakugou felt his face heat up for a moment, but then quickly got his cool together.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He glanced at Dandelion, "Dandelion, come here, girl."
The cat responded to the name and came bounding towards her owner.
Bakugou caught the cat in his arms and felt the smaller creature nuzzle into his arms and chest.
"Kirishima-san, just put the bags over here." Haruno said, snapping Kirishima out of his trance as she indicated for Kirishima to follow her and dumped the heavy bags onto the nearby desk.
Kirishima followed quickly and placed the bags on the desk.
"Oh, wait! I forgot! Yao-Momo had the cat food!!" Haruno suddenly realized, "Augh, I'll be right back, Baku-kun!"
And with that, she ran off and outside the door.
Kirishima stood there, feeling awkward and uncomfortable as he looked around the room, trying to distract himself. Bakugou had no problem, his hands playing with the little kitten in his lap as Dandelion laid on her back, belly facing up and tiny little paws waving around in the air as Bakugou repeatedly opened and closed his hands over the cat's head.
Kirishima's eyes flitted across the room; light ruby eyes just flying across the room - sometimes landing on Bakugou - before he noticed the small collection of mangas.
"Whoa, you have a lot of mangas, Baku-bro." Kirishima noted.
Bakugou glanced at the collection and shrugged, "I guess..."
The kitten mewled at Bakugou, annoyed that the attention was no longer focused on her. Bakugou quickly looked back at the cat as she angrily began to smack his chest, clearly annoyed.
The day had gone by as fast as it could and the next day, Aizawa had called them to a morning class.
"Why are we here...?" Kaminari whined and moaned painfully as he slouched in his seat.
Aizawa merely rolled his eyes, "Class, if you remember correctly, I clearly told you all that today will be the start of mental health study week."
Everyone suddenly perked up. Especially Bakugou. He had completely forgotten about it! And even worse, he hadn't told his parents anything about mental health week!
As Bakugou began to slowly hyperventilate, Haruno obviously noticed and tossed a paper ball at him. It hit Bakugou in the head and landed on the floor with a small thud.
The blonde lifted his head heavily and scowled at Haruno before picking up the small note. Aizawa continued to drone on and on about mental health week and seemed extra tired, which meant that he wouldn't be as active as much. Bakugou slipped the note open and read what was in it.
Baku-kun, r u okay? I can tell Mr Aizawa ur mum booked u an appointment if u want
Bakugou rolled his eyes and looked at Haruno before shaking his head. Haruno sighed, but gave him two thumbs-up and continued to listen to Aizawa.
"Alright, that's enough explaining. Let's get on with it." Aizawa decided.
And with that, someone else stepped into the room.
"Uhm, hi everyone!" Kanjo smiled cheerfully.
