Bakugou burst through his doors and shut it just as quickly, locking it in the process. He then proceeded to rummage through his drawers and pulled out his phone. Quickly and frantically, he flicked between his contacts and came to Toga's.
Clicking enter, Bakugou brought the phone up to his ears, inhaling and exhaling slowly.
'Kat-chan? It's not our usual call time yet, why are you calling?' Toga's chirpy voice answered.
"Himiko, has the LOV recently caught a hero in training?" Bakugou questioned.
'No? Kat-chan, are you okay? I'm on patrol right now. Why?' Toga said and Bakugou could faintly hear the creak of her eyebrow being raised.
"One of the students from class 1-B went to find the LOV, specifically you, Himiko. If she did that, she would most definitely be captured right now." Bakugou groaned, sitting on his bed and rubbing the bridge of his nose.
'Why would a student from class 1-B be looking for the LOV? Is she trying to recruit herself?' Toga asked, rustling could be heard from the background.
"No, she found out about our past." Bakugou replied.
'WHAT?!' Toga hollered into the phone.
Bakugou winced and plugged his ear. Toga calmed down, partially.
'Kat-chan, you do realize this could jeapordize your future hero career? Why was she even looking for the LOV?!' Toga demanded.
"I don't know, but I feel like she wants to confirm the information she's collected. Listen, get to the LOV base as fast as you can, okay? Try to convince your crusty ass of a boss to let her go and if anyone asks questions, just tell them that Kanjo came for you specifically." Bakugou gave her strict instructions.
Toga grumbled, 'I trust you, okay? But I can't put your hero career at risk.'
"Himiko, my hero career is already at risk with my hearing problems. Just, please make sure Kanjo's safe, alright? A friend of mine is worried about her and he would be crushed if anything happened to her." Bakugou sighed.
'Alright. Just take your medications, alright? I'll be calling you a little later. Love you.' And she hung up.
Bakugou let out a sigh. He absolutely hated this. He felt like a spy. Bakugou shook his head. Toga would call back and inform him of what happened. For now, he needed to take his medicines and tell Haruno what happened.
[Toga's POV]
I was quickly running towards the LOV base, my hair bouncing behind me. If I knew the LOV, I would know that Shigaraki was interrogating the poor girl. Kanjo Fu. I think Katsuki told me about her. Neito Monoma's girlfriend or something.
As far as I knew about me and Katsuki's family tree, I think Neito was our cousin. We never visited him for obvious reasons. He only knows about Katsuki and not me. Anyway, I ran inside the base, going straight to the only other girl I knew; Shi Ito.
"Shi!" I called out to her.
Shi was the only girl I knew in the LOV. She was 17, like me, but never went to school. Instead, she was homeschooled by Kurogiri and was basically brought up in the LOV base. Shi knew about me and Katsuki's backstory and pledged to keep it a secret, since she could see everyone's past by looking into their souls. I find that very disturbing to be honest.
Shi looked up at me, "What?"
"A girl. Did Shiggy capture a girl?" I asked her.
Shi nodded, "White hair, amethyst eyes. Kanjo Fu. Followed me into the alleyway and was saying she needed to speak to the LOV, specifically you."
"Where is she?" I questioned her again.
"Room down the hall. Papa's interrogating her right now. Think she's a spy." Shi replied, nodding her head towards the hallway.
I nodded and ran down the hallway before recollecting myself and pushed through the door. Kanjo was tied to the chair, jagged rocks surrounding her and pointing outwards. Shiggy was disintegrating them one by one, but they kept remerging.
"I just need to talk Toga!" I heard her shriek.
"What's going on?" I questioned.
Shiggy looked towards me, "Toga! I've been looking for you! Some hero scum came into the alleyway, saying they needed to talk to you."
"Yes, I'm aware. Can you leave please? If she wants to talk to me, I doubt she'd want to talk to you." I rolled my eyes.
Shiggy left the room, scratching his neck and grumbling. I locked the door.
"Kanjo? It's me, Toga. Kat-chan told me you were here. Can you let these down?" I called out, softly patting one of the jagged rocks.
The rocks submerged into the ground and Kanjo was there, shaking and rattling in her chair.
I sighed and walked over to her, "I'm so sorry about Shiggy. If I'd known you were looking for me, I would've gotten here quicker."
"I-It's fine... I kinda expected this when I went looking for you..." Kanjo replied softly.
I untied the ropes off her and she rubbed her wrist.
"There. Now, Kat-chan told me that you knew about our past." I said and sat down on the ground.
Kanjo's eyes widened, "So you are his sister."
I nodded softly, "And I'm also Neito's cousin. So, why are you here?"
"I-I needed confirmation. Is it true that you ran away from home?" She asked me.
I nodded grimly, "Middle of the night. Ran away with a backpack full of food and clothes. Brought to a shelter and was basically passed on from foster home to foster home."
Kanjo softly, "I just... I saw Bakugou's past and I... I felt bad, that's all."
Kanjo brought out a small file with Katsuki's name on the front. She passed it to me and I looked at her quizzically. I opened the file and everything that happened in Katsuki's life was written on there, all in perfect detail. Some I knew already and some I barely understood.
"I was supposed to hand this in, but... but I made a copy with... with not too much detail on what happened in his life and gave it to them instead." Kanjo explained, nervously fiddling with her fingers.
I looked sadly and happily at Kanjo, "Thank you for not telling them. This means a lot to me and Kat-chan, Kanjo."
Kanjo nodded softly, "I know what it's like to lose a loved one and... if... I gave that file to them, they... they would take you away..."
"It would crush him..." I nodded sadly.
I stood up, "Come on now. We need to get you back, alright? Neito's worried about you."
Kanjo blushed slightly and nodded again getting up from the chair. We both walked out of the room and passed Dabi.
"Who's the girl?" He questioned.
Kanjo bowed down respectfully, "I promise not to say a single word about this."
Dabi looked at me weirdly and I shrugged. We both walked out into the alleyway and I passed the file to Kanjo.
Kanjo shook her head and pushed it back towards me, "Keep it. Sooner or later, someone in my class is going to find that. It's safer if you keep it."
I nodded, "Alright."
"I won't say a single word about this." Kanjo promised.
I hugged her and she hugged back. She walked off and I waved goodbye. I sighed softly and flipped out my phone and dialed Katsuki.
'Himiko? Is she safe?' Katsuki questioned.
I nodded, although he couldn't see it, "Yep. Tell Neito to wait at the gates of the school. She's going back. She's a good friend, that one."
'Yeah.' Katsuki agreed.
"I have to go now. Bye, Kat-chan." I said.
'Bye Himiko' and I hung up.
