Skyler's POV

"What?! I am not an angel, uh oh. No way, Jose." I protested. Stepping backwards away from the advancing Isadora.

"Yes, it is the way. And it will happen."

"Wings?! You want to give me. . . wings?"

"You can hide them away, they won't stay out all the time. Look," She closed her eyes for a second and then golden wings sprouted from her back.

"This is absolutely insane. .  and retarded."

"All Enchanters are indeed angels. Angels have wings." She said. I took another cautious step back only to be grabbed by the muscular Lucas.

I turned my neck to face him. "Come on, Luke. You don't wanna do this! I mean, I mean come on. I though we were all buddies here. You know comrades, amigos-" My words turned into screams as Isadora directed a finger at me and murmured some words. There was a horrible pain in my back and then it was gone.

I kicked and elbowed my way out of Lucas' grasp and ran from the living room through the kitchen into the master bedroom and into the bathroom. I stared at myself in the full length mirror. That can't be me, I thought. She is way to beautiful. There was a girl standing there with perfecty curly black that fell just to her elbows. Her dark eyes shone and there were white wings coming from her back. I jumped as I noticed Lucas behind me.

"Beautiful," he said. And he came to stand behind me in the mirror. "And I thought you were gorgeous before."

"Thanks, but no thanks. " I said turning from my reflection to Lucas.

"No thanks for what?"

"OK, I know you are trying to flirt with me and all, and under any other circumstance trust me I would be flirting back, but you just changed me into an angel and you are going to try and change me into a weapon slash murderous queen and I have to be the apprentice of your sadistic sister. Sorry, bud. But that is a major turn off." And with a tight smile I shoved my way past a dumb founded Lucas into the living room.

Isadora turned to me with a smile. "So what do you think?"

"Take them off."

Lucas seemed to appear out of no where. "Gladly," he said and tugged at my shirt.

"Ha ha, real funny," I said sarcastically. Then turned back to Dora. "Seriously, take them off now."

Lucas shrugged. "I'm trying to but you won't let me!"

Isadora stifled a laugh and then pushed her brother away. She looked at me. "I am sorry, but what is done is done. I will not answer to you. When you are queen, I will. Then your word will be law." She said with a shrug.

"Hmph," I murmured while crossing my arms. "That day will come a LOT sooner than you think."

"So you say," Isadora said. "But for now I am your superior and you will treat me as such. Tomorrow we start training."

I blinked. "Tomorrow? You're crazy. I'm going back to Miami. See ya, bye bye, astlabista baby!" I said and turned to leave. Dora grabbed my arm.

"Nice try. But you're moving in with us."

"But what about my mom?"

"Taken care of."

"My brother?"

"Daycare."

"My. . . dog?"

"Hired a person to take care of him."

"My. . . fish?"

"You don't have a fish."

"Well now I want one!" I retorted.

Lucas had sat down on the couch again but now got up and grabbed my hand. "Great idea, Sky! We'll go and get you a fish!"

I jerked my hand away. "No, I don't want a fish anymore."

"Make up your mind already, Skyler!" He said impatiently.

"I just did."

"Whatever," and he sat back down.

"So let me get this straight," I said putting my hands together. "You are renting this hotel room for nine months. I am coming to live with you guys for training, you just changed me into an angel and gave me wings. Where the fudge am I supposed to sleep anyway?" I said looking around the hotel.

"You're to share a room with Lucas." She said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

I hate you universe. I hate you sooooooooooooooooooooo  much.
