Skyler's POV
"Lucas. Lucas. Lucas? LUCAS!" I yelled into his ear. He groaned and pulled the comferter over his head. I sat down beside the big lump on the bed. "Isadora says you need to get up. She's postponed training until tomorrow. She had a vision or something. I don't know."
"It's to early to get up," the lump mumbled.
"It's twelve o clock in the freaking afternoon!" I yelled back.
"Humph."
I started shaking him. "Stoooop!" He hollered at me. Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew he was smiling.
"No!"
"Fine." And the lump extended a tan arm with muscles that wrapped around my waist and pulled me into a lying position beside Lucas. He left his arm around my stomach and fell back asleep.
Lucas's POV
We were both asleep when there was a banging at the door. "LUCAS AND SKYLER! Do not make me come in there and drag you both out! Do you hear me?" Dora yelled.
Skyler sat upright quickly. Her hair was a huge mess, but she still looked cute. She turned herself and landed face down on the bed. "Lucas, why am I laying bed with you?"
"Because you came to wake me up and fell back asleep." I said running a hand through her tangled mess of curly black hair.
She turned over and stared at the ceiling. "Nice."
I pulled her closer into my side. She flinched away then thought twice and snuggled in closer. She wrapped an arm around my bare chest. "Your sister is going to come in and freak out. Can't wait to see her face." She murmured.
"You should see her face when I do this." I said and forced my mouth onto hers. At first she pulled away but then brought herself back. Isadora opened the door.
"Lucas, I said for you to get up an hour ago and- oh. Oh my. I'm- I'm sorry to intrude." She said when she saw Skyler and me. She gave me a knowing smile and turned to walk out.
Skyler pulled away. "No, wait Isadora! We, me and Lucas, we're not- we didn't! I mean we did, but- it's not what you think!" She said sitting up.
I put a hand over her mouth and pulled her back down. I mouthed the words 'don't worry about it' to a confused Isadora. She just nodded and walked out of the room shutting the door softly.
Skyler put a hand on her forehead. "What have I just done? And with Lucas. . . OF ALL PEOPLE!"
I chuckled. "What, Sky? Embarassed to be seen with me?"
She stood up. "I don't even know you!" She yelled. Her tank top rode up revealing her flat stomah and a peirced belly button.
"Nice piercing," I added. Nodding my head toward the star dangling from her belly button.
"Oh, uh. I-" She stuttered and pulled her tank top down.
I looked around the room and suddenly noticed a giant punching bag hanging from the ceiling on Skyler's part of the room. "What's that doing here?" I asked her.
She shrugged. "I had Isadora summon it for me. I'm a mixed martial arts champion, I need to stay in shape."
"You. . . fight?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Why do you look so surprised?"
"Because you are not muscular enough to take on anybody." I said.
"Is that a challenge?"
"No," I said standing up and stretching my arms. "because I don't hit girls."
She smirked and walked up to me until our face was inches apart. She looked at my lips and then up at my eyes. Her dark eyes glinted mischeviously. "Trust me, you won't be hitting anybody."
She turned around quickly and opened up a bag. She pulled out a head mask and tossed it to me. "You're going to need this." She looked me up and down. "And usually I would say everywhere is fair game but since you don't have protection for everywhere I'll make boundaries. Promise." She said with a smirk and a wink.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Do you really want to do this?" I asked skeptically. She nodded her head and took up a stance.
I put on my retarded head mask and took up my own stance. She shook her head with dissaproval. "Oh, come on. You can't make this that easy on me! You'll never get anywhere in that position!" She walked over to me and placed her hands on my arms guiding them to where they need to be. Then she gave me instructions on how to place my legs. Once she was finished she nodded with satisfaction and walked back to where she was before and took her position. "Let's do this."
* * *
I ducked under her leg and dodged a punch. My punches were getting slower and slower and none of them were making their mark. But I had plenty of bruises showing where Skyler had been. My lip throbbed proving Skyler's right hook was pretty good. She threw another high kick aimed for my head I grabbed her foot and twisted her around. Then she did the impossible.
She twisted herself and wrapped her leg around my waist as I held onto her other foot. She then did a back bend off me and with her free foot kicked me in the chest making me release her other foot as I got the wind knocked out of me. She flipped and landed on her feet. Sweat dripping down her face.
"Holy crap." I said wiping sweat off my forehead. "You're really good. We've been going at it for an hour and I haven't hit you once. And I'm good!"
She grinned. "But we're not done yet."
"Of course not," I mumbled.
I threw a punch which she blocked. She threw a punch which I blocked. She made a kick for the back of my knee and it collapsed underneath me. I rolled over and was about to get up when she sat down on top of me. One knee on the floor beside one side of my stomach and the other knee on the floor beside the other side of my stomach and with one arm pinned both my arms down over my head. She drew her arm back and I winced waiting for the punch in the face but instead she brought her hand forward to cup my face and kissed me. I lifted my head and kissed her back. I felt her smile against my lips. She leaned down and whispered into my ear. "I win."
"Yeah. You win. And I have fifty bruises to justify it."
She stood up. "Good for you. Don't worry you big baby, they'll go away. . . eventually. And I didn't even go that hard on you."
I stood up and dusted myself off. "That was you taking it easy?!"
She grinned. "Don't worry. This teaching thing goes two ways. You teach me magic, I teach you how to fight ten times better."
I looked at her perfect smile and into her shining eyes. "Deal." And we shook hands on it.
