"Shit dude we've gotta get out of here!"

'What? Why?'

"SHES GONNA KILL US YOU IDIOT!"

'I'm not following?'

"THEY KIDNAPPED US, THEIR GOING TO TAKE US TO THAT TALL LADY TO GET EATEN!" It said very worried. You thought for a minute. Then it hit you, the reason you were here. You realized that you were in the house of Donna Benevinto, one of the four lords, then the rest of them were Alcina Dimitrescu, Karl Hesinburg, and Salvatore Moreau. You were now terrified of what they were going to do to you. You remember that your father told you stories about them and that Donna was one of the nicer lords along with Moreau. Alcina and Karl were more of the "get to know me before I'm soft toward you" so they're rough the first months. After laying on your bed for a while you look up at a clock in your room seeing what time it was, it was 4 in the morning. You get up to grab a cup of water looking in all of her cabinets to see which one the cups were in. It didn't help the fact that at least a hundred dolls look at you grabbing water. It was so quiet and relaxing all you could hear was the waterfall near the house. You hear a creak in the floorboards, you whip your head around to see Donna in a nightgown with her veil on, you relax and smile at her "hello, sorry if I had scared you." She says in a soft but raspy tone. This was the first time you heard her voice. It was so soft and caring. "Oh don't worry about it. Sorry if I woke you up." You say in response. She sits down on the couch and soon after you join her.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing up so early?"

"Well I've been awake, I haven't slept yet" you say with a slight smile

"Real smooth y/n real smooth. Now she's gonna worry about you." It says sarcastically

"You probably need to sleep, I bet you're tired." She says in a worried tone

"Not really, I normally stay up till 6." You hear a small gasp out of her that makes you giggle a little.

"I- don't think you should stay up that late. It's bad for you, you know?"

"Yes I've heard, I don't think it matters to be honest with you." You smile at her

"Anyway, Angie told me a little about you and I wanna get to know you more." You say changing the subject.

"Hm, if you're going to be staying here I guess we do need to get to know each other. But I want to hear about you first." She says in what seems to be a happy tone.

"Well, uhm where should I start? I'm (your age)and I used to live with my mother, my mom didn't acknowledge me whatsoever. The only time she did it was when she wanted me to go to the store here in the village. It sucked to be honest with no one to talk to."

"HEY! aren't you going to mention me? The real star" it said full of itself

"Actually I did have something to talk to, it's odd though."

"If you don't mind, I would like to hear it. I'm not very judgmental." She says intrigued, she seemed to like getting to know you.

"So basically, I have what seems to be another person living inside of me. I know it sounds odd."

"Not really, with so many odd things around here." You were wondering about her veil, you'd seen the painting earlier and thought she was beautiful.

"Hey Donna?"

"Yes?" She looks at you.

"If you don't mind me asking, why do you wear a veil?" She makes a small noise not of discomfort but startled.

"I- uhm, I don't think you want to see. I look like a monster." She says embarrassed. You look at her in disbelief.

"I would like to, but if you feel comfortable then I can understand." You didn't want to push her. She looks at her hands and messes with her fingers. There was silence for a minute. She looks back up at you and pulls up her veil to reveal half of  her face. That part of her face was very doll-like, she looked like the painting but the other side of her face, you didn't know. You could tell that she was blushing, you smiled at her, she smiled back. Without thinking you put your hand on her cheek, she was startled but didn't seem to mind.
"Out of all the people you pick her?" It was annoyed. She moved closer to you, but not too close. I guess she didn't want to make you uncomfortable.
