To me, you are my first love everyday

Today was the last day of school before summer starts. Then in 2 months, it will be our last year for College.
The last year where I might ever get to see Hyewon.
"Until when are you going to admire her from afar?" Yuri sighed while I averted my gaze from Hyewon to the book in front of me.
"I'm not staring at her. I was just spacing off." I excused.
"I didn't say anything about you staring at her. I just asked until when are you going to keep on crushing on her secretly?" she explained.
I closed my book and placed it inside my bag. I stared at the students playing around the field, enjoying the company of their friends.
"You look more tired than I am." I chuckled at Yuri.
"Yes, I'm tired from seeing you being such a coward. Aren't you sick of it?" she asked seriously.
"What do you mean? I can keep on doing this for years." I answered.
"Y/n, I'm saying this as a friend. I just hope that in the future, you won't have any regrets. I mean, there are a lot of 'what if's. What if she likes you too?" she stated.
"What if she doesn't?" I retorted.
"Ugh, Y/n, there's no harm in trying! Just, go up to her and tell her you like her!" she spoke in her accent so I laughed a bit.
"You think this is funny? I'm serious here!" she fumed.
"No, it's just you're cute when you're speaking with your accent." I giggled.
"Pft, stop flirting, I'm taken already." she rolled her eyes with a blush spreading on her cheeks.
"I wasn't flirting. You're just flustered." I teased.
I may be laughing now, but Yuri had a point. There's nothing going to happen if I don't tell Hyewon about my feelings. Sure, it might risk something but what else can I lose, right?
It was already late in the afternoon and the last hour of school. I was on my way to find where Hyewon was.
"Aren't you going home yet?" Yuri asked.
"No, I have something to take care of first." I replied.
After she nodded and bid me goodbye, I walked off. Every step I took made me more nervous. It was my first love so it was also my first time confessing to someone.
When I turned the corner, I flinched in surprise when she almost bumped into me.
"Oh, Y/n." she smiled. That damn smile.
"Hey, uh, can we... talk for a minute?" I muttered while looking elsewhere.
"Sure." she crossed her arms and relaxed her stance by leaning on the wall.
The way she looked at me while I was contemplating made my heart beat faster. How can she be so intimidating yet so attractive at the same time?
"Uhm, can we talk outside?" I offered.
She nodded so I led the way to the side of the building where no people usually went to. There was a tree and it was so beautiful how the wind blew past it while the leaves were still growing.
