They were performing the song that was actually going to be used for the competition where Milly and Ava could play, Jake was really getting into the mood of the song. Once they were finished Milly cheered "That went pretty good" Hailey said putting her guitar down "Pretty good? We were fantastic!" Milly waved her guitar up almost hitting Zander and barely able to brush itself against Ava's face "Easy on the guitar Milly-" Ava warned Milly making Milly put the guitar down.
Hailey went up and gave Jake a few notes. Milly walked up to them as Zander and Luke were flirting with each other which was getting on Ava's last nerve "Knock knock" Michael said with the door wide open getting Ava's attention making her walk over "I take it rehearsals are going well in here?" He asked "Dad i told you not to-" Hailey started "come in her during rehearsals, I know, i know sweetie, I promise i havent been snooping but you guys got a fan who really wanted to see you" Michael pointed to the door showing Bethany poke her head in and run to Sean "Sean!" She smiled
"So, How's it going?" Michael asked again "Pretty good, Everythings coming together, right guys?" Hailey answered the second time he asked "Yeah! We sound super—Not that Hailey believes it" Ava replied "I do! I just want to sound perfect for the competition.."
"Jake right?" Michael asked Jake "Uh, Yep thats me" Jake answered a little nervous "Hailey tells me your quite the singer, She sounded pretty impressed by your audition" Michael laughed a little "Dad!" Hailey groaned "How long have you been singing?" Michael asked Jake "Oh, Well. I guess i've been singing since i was a kid but i only really did it in private. This is the first time since elementary i'll be singing on stage again" He answered "Ah, Well. Good for you! Oh man just looking at all of you reminds me of my old band.God i feel old." Michael looked back thinking of his old days
"You are old Dad" Hailey raised an eyebrow at her fathers antics "Hailey!" Ava scolded lightly before laughing a little "I'll have you know your 40's are the prime of your life!" Michael defended "Oh, You were in a band?" Jake asked "Here we go.." Hailey rolled her eyes tired "Well since you asked. It was me and two other guys from high school. We were called...RUBBLE EXPLOSION. I was the lead singer too!" Michael put emphasis on the bands name
Jake looked excited "Woah! Thats so cool! Where did you guys play?" Jake asked again "All over Rose Meadow really. Whichever bar of venue would let us hooligans play at anyway. I remember this one time..-" Michael started his story till Shannon called "MICHAEL? IS TROUBLE IN THERE WITH YOU?" She asked her husband "uh..Yes!" Michael answered and Shannon appeared at the door frame.
She looked around the room for Bethany and saw her listening to music with Sean. That made her sigh "Why am i not surprised.." Shannon walked up and started to drag Bethany away. All Ava knew is that Bethany had a play date. Bethany kept moaning that she didnt want to go till Zander interrupted about a 'British Physco monster' and chased her out "Actually, With your mother taking Bethany to her friends house in a bit, How about we give you kids a lift to the mall on the way there?" Michael suggested "Yeah! Lets go to the mall!" Milly got excited agreeing to the idea "Sounds fun!" Ava agreed with Milly
"I dunno.. I wanted to keep practicing.." Hailey looked down "Hailey. You will take a break, You should enjoy your weekend for goodness sake." Shannon looked cross at Hailey "Mrs Wickham is right Hailey. You overwork yourself. We still have two weeks till the competition. You should take a break for once!" Luke added on "I'm always right, And its Shannon to you Luke. Or mum if you prefer" Shannon teased as Ava turned to see Jake deep in thought "It wont hurt. You wouldnt want to strain Jakes precious voice." Ava added making Hailey change her mind
