Chapter Three
Leah's POV
Spending time near the Cullens has pretty much sucked. I've missed my mom for the last few weeks. I missed wearing my own clothes. I'm always wearing Becca's. My nose was constantly on fire. I never took the food directly from the leeches either. Mama Fang was nice enough, but I didn't want her scent on my food. I was laying down on the ground a few meters away from the Cullen's house, when I heard someone walking up.
"Hey Leah." Becca said. I never really liked her. Mostly, because I thought of her sister when I see her. Becca had a sandwich in her hand, "Here, and I promise I made it. It's not vampire infested."
"Thanks." I said, taking the sandwich and taking a bite of it. It was good. I felt Becca sit down next to me with a sigh.
"How does it feel being the odd one out?" I heard her ask. "I mean, the only girl in a pack of guys."
"It's horrible." I chuckled. "I mean, it's like being trapped in the mind of hormone filled teenagers."
"Oh that must suck." Becca laughed.
"That's not the worst of it, though." I said, looking off into the distance, "The worst is hearing the guys think of their imprints, especially Sam. He thinks about her all the time. Sometimes I think he does it on purpose. He also has this bad habit of bossing me around. Since he is- was my Alpha, I had to listen." I hated Sam with ever fiber in my being. He tortures me. He wants to stake claim on me.
"That's horrible. I'll punch him in the face, if you want. I heard I had a pretty nasty right hook." Becca said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood. I was grateful for her.
"You're not as bad as I thought." I told her, which made her smile. She stood and walked back toward the Cullen's house.
"I'm headed to La Push to get some things tomorrow. Want me to bring you back anything special?" She asked. I immediately thought of so many things I wanted.
"Just some clothes, and my journal. It's in the false bottom of my night stand." I told her and she nodded.
"So I overheard some of my vampire friends talking about an abandoned cottage somewhere north of here. It's still on Cullen land. I don't know about you, but if it was me. I'd go check it out." Becca said and walked out of the clearing.
I stood up and slowly made my way North. I just strolled at looked at the nature around me. The property was so beautiful. The trees and flowers and luscious grass is just wonderful. It smells nice too, especially because you can't really smell the Cullen's all the way out here. I've always loved nature, ever since I was a little girl. It calms and relaxes me. It gives me a chance to think.
Eventually, I came across the cabin Becca was talking about. It was a small cabin in the woods. I went to open the door and instantly started sneezing when I walked in. You can tell it's been a while since someone has been here. There was dust everywhere and a lot of it. I went and opened all the windows.
The cabin was nice. It was made for one, two people at most. It has a small kitchen and dining room. There was a small room queen sized bed and another with some more beds. There was a living room area and a bathroom. It was nice.
"Guess I gotta go ask the bloodsuckers if I can stay here." I said myself. "I'll do it tomorrow."
Even though the bed was kinda dusty, I decided to lay down on it. This was the most comfortable I've been in weeks. Next thing I knew, I was falling asleep.
