Chapter Seven

Sydney's POV

We ran as a pack to the Cullen's house. Our feet pounded against the ground. Soil was digging in between my paws. My mind was racing, and I was feeling very conflicted. Where do my loyalties lay? To my pack or to my imprint? My mind or my heart.

I don't know how I feel about fighting against the Cullen's and Jake's pack. Did they really deserve to die because of this? I didn't thinks so. I'm sure no one listen to me if I stated my opinion. I'm just the newbie.

'Sydney, Quil take the left.' Sam's voice entered my head. We separated and ran toward the house from the left side. Sam commanded Embry and Jared to take the right. He and Paul would come from the front.

'Stay hidden until I tell you to attack.' Sam said to us. Quil and I laid down in our hiding spots, waiting for a signal.

'You okay?' Quil asked me. I turned my head and looked at the wolf next to me.

'This doesn't feel wrong to you? Going to kill these people?' I asked him. His face turned up into a sneer. Well, as much as a wolf face could.

'People? No, these are not people. They are monsters. A disgrace to the world.' He said his voice filled with disgust.

'You know, people could say the same about us.' I clarified and turned away from him. How the hell could he think that? Vampires or not, they have emotions. Therefore they are people. I never understood the hate between vampire and werewolves. Even in fanfictions and other books, they are enemies. Other than their stink, I don't understand what's so bad.

'You have yet to meet any vampires that kill humans. You'll understand then.' Quil said. Ah, I forgot the pack can hear my thoughts.

'Get ready.' Sam said to us. I watched the clip in my head as Paul walked forward slightly.

"She didn't make it." A kid, who I've learned is Seth said. He was standing next to Leah. My heart swelled at the sight of her. Jacob was sitting in front of them, in tears. He was slightly rocking back and forth. A wave of despair slightly went through the pack. They all knew Bella and I'm sure this hurt them.

'Let's go!' Sam yelled in our heads. We all met at the back entrance to the Cullen's house. Three of the vampires were standing there. Sam attacked first and the vampires tried holding some of us back. I ended up being knocked to the side while one vampire pushed Quil into me. When I looked up three more had joined us. I stood and ran, throwing a vampire off of Jared.

A loud whimper caught my attention. I turned to see two unfamiliar wolves fighting against us. It must be Seth and Leah. The whimper came from a tan wolf who was being held down by Paul. I knew in me that it was Leah. I felt an overwhelming amount of rage fill me. I've only been this angry once and that was the day I phased for the first time.

I ran and latched my mouth on Paul's neck, throwing him off her. I stood in front of her protectively. He growled at me in anger.

'What the hell Sydney?' He growled through my head.

'Touch her again, and I'll kill you.' I growled threateningly. His eyes widened slightly. He just realized what has happened

'Oh shit. Sam is gonna kill you.' Paul laughed and ran to attack another vampire. I huffed and him and turned to look at Leah. She was looking away from me. I tried to get her to look toward me. I pushed her lightly with my snout.

When she looked up, it was just us. Her beautiful brown eyes captured my soul. The noise from the fight faded away. I tried to communicate with my eyes, trying to ask if she was okay. Another whimper caught our ears. We both turned to see her brother being slammed into a tree. She growled and then took off toward him. I sighed and looked down.

When I looked back up, I noticed that the Cullens were cornered. The pack slowly walked closer to them. Their intent was to kill them. I just stood on the side. I didn't want to kill anyone. Before anymore fighting could happen Embry ran outside. I don't know when he went there but he definitely came out of the house.

"Stop!" He said angrily to Sam. "It's over!"

Sam was confused and angry and tried to move past him. He stepped in Sam's way. We all stood there in shock. Did he have a change of mind?

"If you kill her, you kill me!" Embry said and Sam had enough. He tried attacking Embry. Embry flew back and landed in his wolf form. He growled and walked toward Sam. He was going against his Alpha. It was a huge shocker.

'You will not touch my imprint.' Embry growled at Sam. His imprint? Is he talking about the child Bella just had?

"Embry imprinted." One of the vampires said, I think it was Edward. Oh, yes the mind reader. "They can't hurt her. Whoever a wolf imprints on, can't be harmed. It's their most absolute law."

Ha, yeah good job Paul. He growled at me, hearing my thoughts. He was the one who choked Becca not me.

Sam slowly backed down. Embry's thoughts left my head as he officially joined Jake's pack. Sam slowly backed away. He walked away with his tail between his legs. Everyone started following, except me.

'Come on, Syd.' Quil said to me. I just looked toward Leah. Hoping she would communicate someway that she wanted me to stay. She just looked away automatically diminishing my hope. I whimpered lowly, and ran to join the rest of my pack. I felt pain radiating through me. Was she denying me? Was it because I was a girl? Was I not good enough?

'So you imprinted on Leah?' Quil asked, making me whine in pain. My imprint doesn't want me?

For those who didn't read Beautiful Twins and are confused, Embry imprinted on Renesmee because it is a Jacob Black love story. So just replace Jake with Embry.

Remember that is is a spin-off story.
