Morgan's POV:

"Oh my god!" I whispered as i walked closer towards Nat's bed.

"What are you doing here?" Clint walked out from the bathroom with a wet towel.

He walked towards Nat and laid the towel on her forehead, she was burning up. In the last hour he was with her, she woke up a few times, mumbled something incoherent and dozed off again.

"Bruce called me, you needed my help, so i'm here. What happened?" I asked still shocked. I needed the facts so i could pinpoint what was wrong with her, before it was too late.

"I don't know.. she just.. she had a headache, that's all i know." Clint sighed and sat down on the chair next to Natasha's bed.

"For how long?"

He placed his hands on his temples and rubbed them letting a frustrated sigh escape.

"Clint?"

"Yesterday." He looked up, his gaze locked on Nat. "She has a headache since yesterday, when we finished our mission. We just arrived, and she immediately went to her room. I found her like this." I nodded at him.

My mind started spiraling. Headache, fever, dilated pupils.. am i missing something? I couldn't piece together what could cause this.

"Clint what happened yesterday?"

"We had a mission, following a lead on some guy. We didn't fight, no one touched her."

"Anything else?" I questioned, trying to figure out what could have happened.

"No I don't think so.. i mean she mentioned an insect bite.. but that's all." He shrugged.

I scratched my neck, deep in thought. Could an insect bite be the cause of all this?

"I might know someone who can help." I mumbled while searching my phone for Jeremy's contact and calling him.

"Hey it's me, i need your help. Could an insect bite cause a headache and some side effects?"

"Heyy, ehmm I don't know. Why? What happened? Are you okay?" Jer rambled.

"Nothing I'm fine." I sighed.

"Hey, talk to me, what's going on?"

"It's Natasha, you know, my friend? She's unresponsive, and mentioned an insect bite before it happened.."

"Ohw.. I'm sorry to hear that. I might know something that can help, but you'll have to do something for me in return."

'Do something? What's going on..' I thought to myself.

"Euhm alright, I'll do it. Please.. i need help." I chocked out.

"Meet me at the apartment as fast as you can."

Before i could ask him why he hung up the phone. 'What the hell is going on?'

"And..?" Clint questioned.

"I - i don't know.. he - i .. i need to go back now, I'll be as quick as possible, i just am going to get something to help her. I-i promise!" I rambled on, more trying to convince myself than him.

He knitted his brows and looked at me, "okay..?"

I looked once more over to Natasha lying in her bed. I walked over, "I'll be right back love, it's going to be alright", I whispered in her ear. I gave her a kiss on her forehead and walked towards the door.

I left the tower and started running back to the apartment, as fast as i could, avoiding the honking cars and pedestrians. Tears escaped my eyes and tickled down my cheeks. I just hope that Jeremy can help me, otherwise this is all for nothing.
