Morgan's POV:

Never thought i would live in the middle/high class of New York. Jeremy and i had put our money together a few days ago, he had a lot. I mean really 'a lot'. I didn't know that dealing drugs would earn so much money. I didn't even know that Jer had so much money, but that might be because we never talked about that.

''Are you ready?'' Jeremy walked out of the kitchen with the car keys in his hand. He wasn't limping anymore, that's good, but his knee still hasn't fully recovered yet.

"Yes, i am.'' I replied as I adjusted the sling around my left arm. This thing is really annoying me, but Jer made sure i wore it. The fight happened a few days ago, and my arm wasn't healing that much. I hated it, it made me feel weak of some kind.

Time to cheer up because today is the day we get the keys of our new shared apartment. A really nice one. The livingroom  had big windows with a pretty view, a big kitchen 'which was a must for Jer', and two big bedrooms with bathrooms and walk in closets. I totally love it.

We jumped in the car and drove to our new apartment building. We had packed the night before, not that i had much to pack, i only packed my clothes which fit all in one duffel bag. The rest of the stuff was sold to the new owner of my old place.

Jeremy parked the car in front of the building. We walked inside towards the reception desk. The lobby has a nice high ceiling, everything is white with some black accents. This is really high end if you ask me.

''Good morning, can i help you two?'' We were greeted by a polite man at the desk.

''I hope so,-'' Jer grinned and put the bags down, ''-we are the new owners of apartment 5.24.''

''Aah right'' he fumbled through some papers on his desk.

''Well, my name is George, and i'm the porter here. If you have any questions or you need anything, you can come to me.''

''Please sign these papers, both of you.'' He handed us the papers. We both put our signatures on it. It was a done deal now. We officially own apartment 5.24, whoop whoop!

"Here are the keys." George handed me the keys.
"Do you need anything? Shall i lead you to your apartment? He inquired.

"Oh no, we're good. We'll find it." Jeremy responded. And motioned towards the elevator.

"It won't be a maze, right?" He smirked and grabbed our bags.

"No it won't." George chuckled and continued with his work.

Jeremy and i stepped in the elevator and pushed the button for floor number five. A few seconds later the elevator opened. A long hallway went both ways, left and right. Big windows covered the exterior walls, lighting the hallway perfectly.

Number 5.24 was to the left. So we continued our journey through the building. We walked in silence, both of us amazed about every little detail that made the place look high-end.

As Jeremy was focusing on the room numbers, i looked out the windows. The weather was nice, the sun was shining, no clouds were in the sky and the breeze of wind once in a while was refreshing. I noticed that the traffic was crazy, but we were high up, so we couldn't hear those annoying people that honked for minutes straight. God i hate those people with road rage, unfortunately i am one of them, but that's not the point.

Finally we arrived at our door. Jeremy carefully unlocked and opened the door. It was amazing. High ceiling, large windows, everything was perfect, it was even better than the pictures we had seen.

Jeremy's phone went off, normally he would answer it immediately, but after he checked the caller ID he excused himself and walked towards the kitchen. I got an uneasy feeling in my stomach, but shrugged it off.
