"So is it good now between you two?" the redhead asked following behind the greenette who was trying not to look stressed out. "Cause the prince doesn't always talk to me" Kirishima tried again, hoping saying that would provide him an answer. "And I worry about him sometimes"

"Well..." Izuku started thinking about Katsuki's words. He had acted way too timid to be Deku, so he was trying to do better. The less people know about the replacement the better. "Yeah, I guess" he eventually answered trying to sound as calm as possible.

His heart was pounding in his chest as the redhead kept fishing for information. When they finally reached the carriage, Izuku let out a relieved sigh.

The less he talked to others the better. That's less chance people notice the change. When the consequences the prince had warned for crossed Izuku's mind a shiver went over his spine. He couldn't blow this, Izuku thought and got onto the stairs.

"See you soon, I hope" Kirishima yelled after, who he thought was Deku, as the carriage started his trip. Izuku didn't answer, he was too nervous thinking about what he was going to do, when he was back to what he was supposed to call "home" .

What could he possibly do to find out where Deku is? Katsuki probably thought the king knew where Deku was. That's why he wanted Izuku to look for information in the palace, but it's not like Izuku can just ask.

He was thinking way too hard about this. How was he not going to make it obvious. Where was he supposed to look for answers? Maybe talk to servants, while hoping they wouldn't snitch? Was that too risky?

The rambling of questions in his mind were suddenly interrupted by the carriage halting. Had he been thinking about a plan all this time on the way? He knew the answer to that question was definitely yes, but then why was he no closer to a decent plan?

Izuku wanted to cry and felt like he was close to doing so, when suddenly a voice prevented his opportunity. "Deku!" was screamed from in front of the palace. It was the prince's voice, which made Izuku's heart beat like a drum. He couldn't let Shotou know he had totally failed his father's order.

"Good morning, your highness" Izuku greeted the man, as his hand was grabbed unexpectedly to lead him off the carriage. "Tha-thank you" Izuku stuttered out, when the prince helped him down.

"How was your visit to the other kingdom?" he asked, as he ordered in a silent gesture, every servant to leave, like Shotou didn't want anybody hearing their conversation. When they were alone Izuku felt like he could answer the man's question.

"Go-good" he spoke and couldn't think of anything else to say. Was he supposed to give more information or was that enough? After a short silence he decided to continue "He-he was ve-very sw-" suddenly Shotou interrupted his replaced brother and grabbed both of Izuku's cheeks while doing so.

"How many times do I have to tell you" He warned angrily, pushing Izuku's cheeks in his teeth harshly. Even though Shotou was drilling his furious gaze into his, Izuku closed his eyes, scared of what the prince might do next. "Only talk to me when I tell you to do so"

Izuku nodded and felt his cheeks tingle from numbness when the prince finally let go. Izuku knew the prince had asked him to talk, so he hadn't done anything wrong. It was more like the prince was so stressed, he needed someone to blame and that person seemed to be Izuku.
