Izuku fidgeted with his fingers as he stood before the closed gate. His heart beated at an immense rate as he tried to get his breathing under control. He had no idea what he was going to do on a ball with all those nobles. Nobles that would be watching him at all times.

The more he thought about it, the less sense it made the king organized this ball. It's almost like he wanted Izuku to fail.

Had Deku felt this way too?

Then he turned his head to the side to the taller figure next to him, the prince. He wasn't sure, but to his surprise Shotou seemed tense too. As Izuku looked closer to his face, it seemed like he didn't look forward to the ball either. Izuku wondered why, when the prince's face turned to him and made him look away.

"Are you ready?" Shotou said, sounding like a warning. The way he phrased it made Izuku tremble. How many nobles are going to be coming through that gate?

But before he could even think of a certain number the gate opened and revealed a huge mass that was facing the fake princes with an observant stare. Their clothes had diamonds that reflected the moonlight in Izuku's freckled face.

The first came up and greeted him formally while bowing. They asked a few questions to both the princes and then made their leave inside to taste the food. Izuku tried not to seem as uncomfortable as he actually was during the greetings. Luckily the prince was there to help when he didn't know an answer to any of the nobles questions.

There were many words to every conversation, but not one with any meaning. It was sad how all the people wanted to get on the royals's good side. Like they were an important pawn they could use in there next move.

Then when the next family of nobled in line just seemed to come closer, they stopped abruptly and stepped aside. There expensive fabrics moved away to reveal a big hole. An emptiness in the big crowd that earlier no one seemed to be able to part, because of all the people hoping to get inside.

Izuku cocked his head from side to side to get a glimpse of what was happening. Why were all the nobles silent all of a sudden? His question was quikly answered when the people one by one started bowing and a man and woman came out of the crowd, both wearing the biggest crowns the greenette had ever seen.

Next to him the prince also seemed caught off guard, when he saw the two figures before him. He quikly bowed and greeted them formally, as Izuku awkwardly tried to follow his movements.

"Good Evening your highness's, I heard of your long travels far away so" the prince paused carefully thinking over his next words "I didn't think you would be able to make it" Shotou spoke as he seemed way more nervous than while talking to any of the other nobles.

Izuku just stood there staring at the two people who had parted the crowd. The greenette's sight was partly blinded by the man's glasses reflecting the lights inside the palace while the stranger's brown hair hung over his ears. The woman next to him had the same firey eyes and spikey blond hair as the younger prince, Izuku had just met two days ago.

"We're glad we could make it" the woman claimed to the first prince when then her eyes made their way to the other, nervouse green haired, one. "and see our beautiful son in law" she added smiling, but her eyes and intonation didn't seem to fit that expression. Her eyes made a quick check up on the trembling greenette in front of her.

"Good evening your highness" Izuku greeted the woman, after clearly noticing the slight annoyance in her voice. This couldn't be good.

"I heard you had fallen earnestly ill" she said with seemingly deep concern, before she continued. "But you're all better now I suppose"

"Yes, I luckily did, your highness" Izuku brought out, hoping he sounded even just a bit like her real son in law. "I'm glad you could make it"

"You have my blessing dear" she ended the conversation and walked right in with her husband behind her. The woman had this dangerous feeling energy, Izuku wasn't really fond of.

The greenette finally stopped trembling as his head kept looking at the two royals getting inside, further and further away. As if he had to check she wasn't coming back to continue the earlier, strangling conversation.

But when he thought he was finally safe and looked back, his eyes were met by the same crimson firey eyes as the queen. Now not the queen, but her son standing in line. It seemed like the crowd had also parted for the prince, as he came closer in the silence. He smirked at the greenette who had clearly gone in shock by the mear sight of him.

"Ka-Kacchan" Izuku stuttered out, while trying so hard not to. He knew the nobles around him could hear every word of their conversation so hoped Kacchan would not test any limits. "You-you came" he tried sounding really excited with a big smile, but he could feel his muscles refusing.

"Of course my dear" he said as the biggest devilish smirk made its way on his face. Izuku could feel the prince's excitement to play a game and every game the prince wanted to play seemed like an impossible test.

Before Izuku could even think about a way to stop the blonde, he grabbed Izuku's arm and pulled him inside. The greenette could hear the red-white haired prince yell behind him, but was forced to follow the iron grip on his wrist.

"Oww" he brought out whiningly, while trying to get away from the blonde "Ka-kacchan" he tried again "Sto-stop" one last time, before he realized his whining wouldn't make a difference so then stopped and let the blonde lead his way.

When the blonde halted, they were both standing outside on a tall balcony facing the many beautiful gardens. The greenette catched his breath while wondering why the prince had brought him here. Izuku's eyes fell on the red and white flowers painted on the grass. It was almost like the prince's firey eyes lit up the space around them, since even through the darkness they seemed just as bright. Izuku was eager to know why the blonde brought them here, but Kacchan's smirk earlier didn't bode well.

"Don't you get tired of greeting those nobles?" he spoke in an annoyed tone, while putting his arms on the handrails of the balcony, now looking away from the greenette.

Izuku could feel the bright red light lose contact with his body as the blonde had turned to the gardens. He hesitated to answer, still doubting if this was an actual honest question or another game.

"We-well" Izuku started, but couldn't really keep going so started fidgeting with his fingers. The greenette was scared of the growing silence he had started, when luckily the blonde put an end to it.

"They're all so loud and energy draining" He spoke in a soft tone while gritting his teeth. Izuku looked back up from his fingers as he noticed a softer tone in the man's voice then he had ever expected. After the prince waited for a short moment he turned around and put on a soft smile.

"I bet you've never even danced formally before, have you?" he asked daringly while already knowing the answer. Izuku had immediately put his head down, when the bright red light had shone on his face again.

"We-well" he started as he kept fidgeting with his fingers as usual "Sho-Shotou taught me a little this morning" he acknowledged "bu-but I-I don't think I even remember it slightly" Izuku admitted honestly, as his lip started pouting a little bit.

He shouldn't think about how he would probably have to do it around so many people while not even knowing how to. Suddenly his slightly teary eyes were pushed to the bright red ones, by one of the prince's fingers on his chin.

Their faces were close, really close. He tried looking at the now blurry red shining lights in front of him, due to the salty tears stinging his eyes. It seemed as if they were coming closer. Suddenly Izuku thought their lips were going to touch, for even just a second. Not just because the blonde was leaning in, also because his body seemed to want it just as badly.

But there was no reason to.

He didn't need to act like Deku anymore, since the prince had known all along. His chest squeezed together, giving him a suffocated feeling, when realizing the cold truth.

Why would Izuku kiss his fake lover's lips, when Kacchan himself was looking for his real one?
