Footsteps echoed through the long hallways of the now darkened palace. The prince put his hands through his green locks while letting out a deep sigh. When suddenly the footsteps abruptly stopped, when Deku's eyes focused on a door.

His days in the palace were always the same, always repeating the same steps, same conversations, same insomnia and same insults. Then why was today not the same?

He had never noticed this door before, because to as far he can remember, it had always been closed. It was stupid to think he would ever get the answers he had always wanted, but he couldn't help himself and peeked his head through the door.

The blue cold eyes, Prince Todoroki had gotten from the King together with the short temper and red hair, while Deku himself, couldn't think of even one thing he had in common with his father. There was just something about the way the king treated and communicated with the greenhaired prince. Why was it so different from his other son?

A question that had been starting to eat Deku alive

He woke up from his questions when he felt his foot touch the cold stairs leading down, to a point he couldn't see. He knew he shouldn't go down there, but the bitter truth was, he would do anything to escape this torturing life. So in Deku's eyes he couldn't think of anything worth not losing.

He followed the steps and felt his eyes squeeze to adjust to the darkness. He took every step really slowly in the hope no one would wake up to the sounds. His head was foggy and his thoughts racing. He had the feeling that what he was doing now, he would come regret his whole life.

If only he hadn't been right

Suddenly his foot hit what seemed like a metal wall, so he took a step back and noticed the biggest metal door he had ever seen.

What is this? Why was this here in the palace? Did the king know about this? Todoroki? Was he the only one who didn't?

He shook his head to get rid of the intrusive thoughts and put his hands on the metal. He pushed as hard as he could, but the door wouldn't move. So he tried again and again, but the door didn't even make a sound once.

He slid down the cold metal with his back and breathed deeply, completely exhausted. He put his head in his hand and sighed deeply. "This can't be it" he whispered to himself. He knew that if he went back now he would never get this chance again.

So he stood back up after catching his breath, looked at the door and thought deeply. It was at least 10 feet long and 20 feet high. No human person could push this open, there must be another way. There was no place for a key so that wasn't an option either.

It was as if the anwer was staring Deku right in the face.

Then he noticed a metalic border at the top of door, that if you looked closely enough seemed to go further into the wall. It was almost like you had to open it like...

Deku put his hands on the edge of the metal door on the left and pulled it to the right as hard as he could. Finally after trying to slide the door to the left for about five minutes, Deku had been able to make a tiny space to walk through.

His eyes widened when he realized the stairs had led to one big underground bunker. His eyes went over the immense dark lit up space he had come to. It was so dark he couldn't quite see the walls and only saw a black hole in front of him. A horrible smell made its way into his nose as he walked towards the giant pit. He felt nausea coming over him as his feet placed at the edge of the pit.
