5 - The Sky

They grinned, "I'm flattered"

DreamXD looked back at the balcony expecting it to be empty but instead sees the prince with a blanket just on there, "if I go down there, I won't be disrupting his thoughts?"

Arson looked at the other god and thought for a second, "no, you won't be disrupting them. Infact, he is just... Stargazing or admiring the sky. Now go, you stupid god. I'll probably be here when you get back, if not, I'll be out n about again."

It inhaled, "alright. Goodbye, Arson."

The prince sure did love stargazing or admiring the sky.

As much as he wished to sleep again, adrenaline kicked in to find different star alignments across the sky, so he did. He found the star sign Cancer by now, as it had been an hour since he awoke.

Some star signs he knows where they are at but some he doesn't.

He was so caught up in stargazing that he jumped slightly when he saw a familiar deity in the corner of his eyes.

The boy turned towards it, "DreamXD, hello"

It looked down at him, "hello, dove. I hope I'm not interrupting you with anything."

The boy shook his head, "no no, it's fine. I was just stargazing, that's all."

The god hummed, sitting next to the mortal, "you sure do like stargazing, don't you?"

The boy nodded, continuing to stargazer. There was a moment of silence.

"what do I remind you of?" the boy, George, mutters the question and the god takes a moment to think.

"the sky. You remind me of the sky. Whether or not its the night sky or the day sky" it expresses its response.

"how so?" the curious prince looks up at the god.

"the sky is all-knowing and... you seem to be that way." it explains its response, again, as the mortal hums in acknowledgement.

Another peaceful moment of silence wavered between them. As the god glanced at the mortal who had a comfy blanket waved around him like a cape to keep himself warm.

The god broke the silence after awhile, "why are you up this late, dear prince?"

That question sure did surprise the boy but nonetheless, he answered, "nightmare. I had a reoccurring nightmare. Couldn't sleep afterwards so I thought, might aswell look at the night sky"

DreamXD had just noticed that George's small antlers antlers are out, "I see. Care to explain what the nightmare was about?"

He shrugged, "a memory that reoccurs once a week. Nothing much"

The god hummed.

The prince walked towards his father's study room as he has been called there. The guards opening the doors allowing the prince inside and then closing them, "you asked for me, father?"

King Arsenal looked up at his son, "yes, I did. I have important news for you, son. Take a sit.", he relaxes on his armchair behind his desk.

The prince heads towards one of the armchairs infront of the desk and sits, "what's so important that you asked for me in such a hurry?"

Arsenal took a deep breath before responding, "Its about a decision I made. I decided, that you can become king without finding a damsel, but, you need to find someone eventually to rule with you. So with that saying, your coronation will be held November 12th."

George paused for a moment, taking all of the information he has just been given in before awnsering, "right, okay. Thank you, father. I'll see the proper preparations for the event myself and if I may need any help, I'll ask."

The king nods as his son stands up and dismisses himself.

The prince remembered his previous chat with his father. Infact, he was shocked that the king himself would allow the prince to become king without a Queen, "I heard your coronation is dew in a few months, is that true?"

The prince looks up at the god, "yes, yes it is true. I just need to plan everything out and all by then."

The god nodded and hummed, "I wish you the best of luck. You'd do well becoming a king"
