As Cozy As A Pillow

"There are only two rooms"

You stood there in front of Bennett, as you realized you really didn't have another room for him.

"Y-you can sleep in my room, if you want" you offered. But the boy shook his head.

"It's fine, I actually only came to inform you and ask for a pillow and blanket. The floor is perfectly fine for me." Bennett chuckled. "You see, I got used to it. Whenever I go to a sleepover, there's not enough space for me, so I sleep on the floor. That's how my luck is" he said, sadness in his eyes.

Suddenly, you grabbed the boy's hand and started dragging him towards your room. You dashed inside and pushed him onto your bed.

"You're sleeping here" you stated. He just sit there with a surprised look on his face. He wasn't expecting this. But he didn't complain.

You looked for a spare blanket and pillow in your room before going out. You grabbed a nice, flower patterned cozy pillow and blanket, and started going out of your room. That's when something (more like someone) grabbed you from behind, pulling you close to him.

"B-Bennett? What are you doing?" you asked calmly. The buy was hugging you tightly from behind, not giving you a chance to turn your head his way. His grip on you tightened a little before saying "Thank you".

"Don't sweat it, you are the guest anyways" you said, finally turning around and patting his head. Then you went out of your room, settling down in the living room.

Bennett sat down on the bed, now finally realizing what he just did. He became flustered, and a strange feeling took over him. He wanted to hug you once more.

He threw himself on the bed, now covering his face with both of his hands.

"What is wrong with you, Bennett?" he quietly muttered to himself, before hiding under the blanket and trying to sleep. But he couldn't. All he could think about was you, your scent, the warmth of your body, your laugh, your E/C eyes and all of your other features. Until eventually, he fell asleep.

The next morning you woke up with a hurting sensation in your back.

"Ugh, now I'll have to go to Barbara again. Great, just great." you said as you were sitting up from your veeery comfy sleeping place. You stood up, picked your stuff up from the floor and started going back to your room.

You quietly peeked in through the door, to see a sleeping Bennett in your bed. He looked really peaceful.

You quietly put down your stuff to its original place, and went over to the sleeping boy. You sit down next to him and pat his head. His hair was really soft. You couldn't help but smile at the unlucky little guy.

You went back into the kitchen to prepare something for your friends, who were still sleeping. Except Aether. He was up after you woke up. He sat down at the kitchen table and waited for you to prepare the food.

Suddenly, the two of you heard a thud. It was coming from your room, and you didn't even had to guess it was Bennett. He probably fell off of his bed.

"Could you please go and check on him, Aether?" you asked the blonde boy, since you were busy preparing breakfast. The boy nodded and went to your room.

When you were finally alone, you heard Paimon's earbleeding voice.

"What was that? Paimon almost got a heart attack." she said. She was clearly over dramatising the whole thing. It wasn't even that big.

After a few minutes has passed, you saw the two boys coming towards you. They both took a seat at the table, and you presented them today's first meal.

After the four of you were done eating, Aether spoke:

"Y/N, wanna go on an adventure with us today? We're going to wangshu Inn, and we think it'd be nice to have some company. You know what they say, the more the merrier."

"But Paimon thought we were only going with Ben-"

"So what do you say, Y/N?" Aether quickly said before Paimon could finish her sentence.

"I think it would be nice to finally go somewhere else beside Mond for a change. Sure, I'll join you." Bennett's eyes lighted up, and that's when Paimon suddenly understood what was going on. But you didn't have a clue about anything.

The four of you went into town to get prepared for the adventure. You stayed at home to prepare some food for the journey, while the others packed some equipment and bandages. Especially bandages. You agreed to meet at the town's centre at 11 a.m..

When the time came, you actually found yourself being a little late, you you hurriedly packed your stuff and started going to meet your friends.

By the time you arrived everyone was there.

"Did you guys wait for a long time for me?" you asked worriedly.

"No, don't worry, I have just arrived, too." answered Bennett, smiling as always. You let out a breath, and then the four of you started going towards the gates of your beloved town.
