Trip To The City

You snuggled closer to him, and closed your eyes. This was just like your dream last night. But this time, it was real.

The next morning when Bennett woke up he found someone hugging him and burying their face into his chest. He slowly opened his eyes to see you sleeping next to him. He was really surprised, and he almost fell off of the bed. He was blushing really hard. Then something went through his mind: it was probably a dream. Yeah, he was definitely dreaming. There's just no way the girl he loved so much would sleep in his arms, he wasn't that lucky. So he just went back into enjoying his "dream"

"Mmmh, good morning Bennett." you suddenly spoke, scaring the boy, which resulted in him falling down.

"Ouch" he put his hand to his head. It hurt. "Wait a minute. People don't feel pain in dreams, right?" he looked up at you. You shook your head, smiling at him. He started blushing madly, and he covered his face with his hand. You chuckled.

"I'll go take a quick shower, you can get ready until then." you told him. You grabbed a pile of clothes then went into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.

Bennett was still sitting on the floor. He couldn't belive he slept with the girl he had so many dreams about, even during day time. And he didn't realize it at first. But what hurt him the most that he could only feel you close to him for just a few minutes. He still wanted to hold you, smell you, kiss you, snuggle you.

He finally stood up from the floor, sitting back on the bed. He couldn't help grabbing your pillow and smelling it. Your scent was still on it. He laid back in bed, and hugged the pillow close to his face. He started blushing a little bit again, but it was barely visible this time.

He sat up again and out the pillow next to him. He started observing your room. It was clean, really clean. You had a big window. Bennett looked out through it. He could see liyue, the big city, which he had always wanted to go to. And one day, he will. In front of your bed was a small cupboard. It had a book on it, but Bennett couldn't make out what it wrote.

He stood up, and went over to the cupboard to take a closer look at the book. The title said: lucky charms. Bennett opened the book to see what was inside. Rabbit foot, four-leaf clover, horseshoe, pocket lighter, all kind of lucky charms were listed in the book.

The boy was flipping through the pages, when he came upon something. It was a piece of paper. Bennett picked it up, and started reading it. But he couldn't. It was written in a language he couldn't understand. He put it back into the book and closed it, going back to the bed to dress up while you were taking a shower.

He put on his pants, t-shirt, socks, google and then the rest of his accessories. That's when he heard the bathroom door opening up.

You came out in a piece of towel. Bennett got red again. He froze in one place, finding you even more attractive wearing literally nothing.

"Bennett, don't you know where my clothes are?" you asked. Bennett just stood there, looking at you, not saying a word.

"Bennett?" you asked again.

"Y-YES! I LIKE PANCAKES!" he suddenly said. You started laughing, which shook Bennett out of his frozen state. He started blushing even more, now from the embarrassment too.

"I-I think you took it into the bathroom with you.." he finally said. You smiled at him and thanked him, going back into the bathroom again.

Bennett quickly put on his shoes, did the bed and went outside to meet Aether. There he met the two of them already arguing over something Paimon did.

When you were finally done, you grabbed your stuff and went after Bennett. As last morning, they already ordered the food.

"Everyone, I have an announcement to make" said the traveler. "We're going to Liyue!" your eyes bacame filled with excitement, and so did Bennett's.

After you were done eating your breakfast, you rushed up to your room to pack your stuff. You were really excited to go there, especially since the lantern rite was coming. You heard it was the most beautiful event in Liyue, and it was worth seeing. You could already hear the fireworks and feel the taste of the different kinds of food in your mouth.

After everyone was done packing, you began your journey. This time you didn't have to travel as much as you had to before. Liyue was a lot closer.

On your way to the city you stopped once, because you saw a beautiful sight and you just had to take a picture with your friends. It was a rare occasion, and you couldn't miss anything. The sea was beautiful, and so was the mountains and lands you had to go through.

"Hey, Aether, when are we arriving?" Bennett asked.

"We should be there in about thirty minutes." the boy answered. "If you look that direction, you can already spot the city." he pointed towards Liyue. You and Bennett got even more excited. You sped up, and Aether was barely able to follow you.

You finally arrived to the gates of the big city. Even though Aether said it was half an hour away, it only took you ten minutes to get there. Maybe the reason behind it was you literally running for the last five minutes.

All of you got drained of energy, but you and Bennett still had enough to jump around in the city, observing everything on your way to rent a room where you could rest. You saw small lakes everywhere, and water was even visible flowing in the dephts of Liyue. It was truly a beautiful town. You could see the ocean from some spots, and even saw a waterfall once.

When you finally arrived to the place you were going to sleep at, you got guided to your room, unpacked and jumped onto the bed to sleep. You were tired and excited at the same time. Tomorrow was the time of the lantern rite, the one event you've always wanted to see since you were a little kid. And now, you had someone who was as excited to see it as you were...
