"attention," dumbledore clinked his glass while he stood by the high table. to his dismay, the students in the great hall continued chatting, disregarding the headmaster's presence.
draco rolled his eyes and stood up from his seat.
"hey! shut up!" draco's voice boomed through the great hall. the chatters immediately fell silent and all eyes were now on him. he sat back down on his seat and huffed.
"damn students never know when to keep their mouths shut," draco mumbled under his breath.
"damn malfoy what climbed your arse and died today," miles joked as blaise and pansy stifled a laugh. this earned miles a death glare from draco.
i let out a small pout and gave the blonde a peck, his face softened as my lips met his cheek.
"thank you head boy," dumbledore cleared his throat. the students turned their heads to face the headmaster.
"per ms lovegood's request, i have decided that hogwarts will be hosting a talent show this year. it will happen in a week's time on Friday night during dinner. sign-ups will be made by approaching your house heads, please do so by wednesday night," dumbledore announced.
"are you gonna participate?" adrian, who sat next to me, asked while stuffing dinner rolls into his mouth.
i choked on my water, shocked by his question.
"adrian, you've known me since we were like 1. do i look like someone who would stand in front of the whole school and perform," i shot him a "duh" look.
"hm you're right. what about the rest of you?" adrian asked the group.
pansy, blaise and miles shook their heads in response.
"you're all boring," adrian whined.
"okay pucey why don't you join?" blaise suggested.
"oh blaise, aren't you forgetting it's a talent show? i mean clearly he doesn't have any," i snorted.
"rude," adrian furrowed his brows and flicked my forehead.
