i forgot when exactly when proper i met draco. it was sometime in our sixth year. i'd seen him around school within the six years, but i had never had a single word with him.
running has always been a habit of mine. quite odd to call it a habit but it was true. whenever i had too much on my plate or felt like everything was too much, i'd run.
today was one of those days. it was one of those days where the world went crumbling down on me.
three rounds around the quidditch field and it was enough for me to let off some steam.
i laid on the quidditch field, with my back on the grass. my shirt was untucked and my tie hung low on my neck.
i closed my eyes to shield them from the sun. my breath shaky as i relaxed my breathing.
i was broken out of my trance when i choked on cigarette smoke.
my eyes shot open and i quickly sat up, coughing. i was met with a laughing y/n, who was holding a cigarette in her hand.
"y/l/n? what the hell?" i managed to choke out after getting my breathing back to normal.
"it just looked tempting, you were laying there all vulnerable. it made quite a good laugh," she shrugged as she took a puff.
"y/l/n! malfoy!" i heard professor snape shout from afar.
y/n's eyes widened as she stuck the cigarette in my mouth and waved her hands around to rid off the cigarette smell around her.
"skipping lessons and smoking on school grounds?" professor snape bellowed as he approached us, "you're coming with me."
professor snape picked me up by my collar.
"get to class y/l/n." he instructed the girl as i got dragged away by the potions master.
"sorry," the girl mouthed to me with a cheeky grin as i prepared myself for the reprimand i was about to recieve.
