y/n walked out of the dressing room in a white wedding dress which fit her perfectly. it was tight around the waist and spread out after her waist.
she looked absolutely stunning.
"d'you like it?" she flashed a signature sheepish grin.
"perfect," i breathed out.
"well, it is the first one i've tried, we've still got plenty more!"
"would the groom like to try on something as well?" the staff asked.
"oh i'm not-"
"go on! go try something i wanna see," y/n pushed me to the dressing room looking up at me with puppy dog eyes.
how could i say no to puppy dog eyes?
i walked out of the fitting rooms in a full suit.
y/n's eyes brightened when she saw me, "it looks good!" she fixed the collar, "you look handsome."
"would the two of you like a picture?" the same staff asked.
"sure!" y/n agreed and she hooked her arm around mine and we smiled for the camera.
"i'm gonna try on more dresses, i'll be right back," she pat my back as she returned to the fitting room.
when she went to change into another dress, i quickly changed out of the suit and ran out of the store.
as i said before, running was a habit of mine. there was too much on my plate and i had to run.
i dashed down the streets of london, chest heaving.
it hurt. it truly hurt knowing the only girl i had ever loved was getting married to another man. it hurt knowing her and i would never get the ending i had hoped we could have ever since i was a teenager.
but i also had to be happy for her.
i chose to keep my disease from her and urged her to find someone else just so she could get over her feelings for me. i would not want to be selfish and have us be in a relationship, only for me to inevitably leave her. she barely got herself together after her parent's passing.
