We stayed in Norway until the end of the holidays, and when we came back, I managed to convince Ricardo not to send me to school for a week.

I finally made my mind up about my relationship with Jason, which is why I went to talk to him on Friday afternoon.

He let me in and said he missed me before he started kissing me and pushing me onto the sofa. I tried to remember what I was really here for and stood up, knowing that stop was not a word he would listen to.

I played with his necklace around my neck and tried to gather my thoughts. Part of me was afraid that I would lose one of the few good things in my life, but my gut told me to take the risk.

"I think we happened way too fast," I slowly explained.

"And I also think we," I paused. "We shouldn't be together anymore."

I waited for his reaction, but he seemed neither sad nor happy. At some point, he took my hand and pushed me back onto the sofa so that he was lying on top of me.

"How about some break-up sex then?" I was thrown off guard for a moment, what I think he interpreted as a yes.

"We shouldn't," I muttered.

"Are you sure?"

"I am."

"You don't sound sure," he insisted. I pushed him off me slightly, but before I left, I hugged him.

"We can still be friends, right?"

"We can," he confirmed, and I smiled at that. This was way easier than I would have ever expected.

The weekend passed uneventfully. Henry was still out there somewhere but hasn't sent another sign, and I still hadn't found the right moment to talk to Ricardo.

On Sunday, however, Rafael told me, he wanted to visit someone but kept to himself who.

"Where are we going?" I asked, trying to fill the silence in the car, but he didn't bother answering me.

After an hour, Rafael parked in front of a white family house with large windows, reminding me of the houses I often saw in movies. We got out, and he walked in front of me to the front door. While we were waiting for someone to open up, my eyes fell on the doorbell, which had the last name Belloni on it.

Shortly afterwards, a blonde woman opened the door. She looked like she was in her late twenties and was holding a baby.

"Rafael, hi," she hugged him, looking relieved and happy to see him.

She invited us in, and the first thing I heard was two other children calling Rafael uncle and looking so happy to see him that they pulled him right along with them, leaving me and their mother alone in the entrance.
