"Taylor!" Matt ran to give Taylor a hug. Her car was parked in front of Matt's apartment building. Matt went down to help her with her suitcases.
"How have you been?" He asked, grabbing a rolling suitcase.
"I'm ok. I've been going to therapy, and it's really helped."
"I'm glad." They sat down on his brown couch and caught up. It had only been a few months since they last saw each other, but it felt like years.
A week later, it was almost Christmas. Taylor's winter nights were taken up by static. She was stressed with all of the holiday shopping traffic. What if someone knew who she was?
But she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. She was going to be fine. She grabbed the presents for Matt, Will, and Rachel, putting them in her car.
"Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas!" Will greeted her. He had a festive Santa costume on.
"Did Santa make the Christmas meal?" She asked him.
"You'll have to taste and see." There was mistletoe hung in Matt's apartment. Taylor casually walked around it.
They ate turkey along with vegetables for dinner. Matt pointed out there was a fireworks display right outside his window. They watched the fireworks for a long time before opening presents. Taylor begun to realize that she needed to surround herself with people who loved her back.
