Later that evening, Loki helped Alaina get ready for bed. While sitting on the bed, he braided her long brown hair and tied a blue ribbon onto the end. After he finished, she slid her feet under the covers. Loki told her Asgardian tales until she fell asleep.

Sarah and Loki headed to a bar. People enjoyed alcoholic drinks while chatting. A waiter brought over some beer. Sarah and Loki clinked their glasses and drank. "So, what's it like in the future?" she asked. Loki wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Life is very good, indeed. There's lots of inventions in 2021. We have electronic devices that will let you shop online or play games. You can buy clothes and other essentials at shopping malls. Automobiles are invented. You rarely have to walk or ride horses all the time. Movies are available to watch in movie theaters. My daughter and I live in a beautiful place called New York City. Hundreds of tall buildings and colorful lights are there." Sarah felt happy while listening to Loki. The future sounded incredible. A bartender walked up on stage and began to speak. "Attention all. We will be square dancing soon. Please make your way to the front of this stage." Loki loved square dancing.

Bystanders at the bar cheered on the dancers. Musicians started playing their violins as positive vibes flowed through the crowd. Loki and Sarah linked arms while doing the Do-si-do. This moment felt magical for Sarah. Her stomach was full of butterflies. She started gaining a crush on him. All of sudden, Loki heard gunshots from outside. Everyone on the floor was still dancing. He grabbed her hand. "Sarah! I heard gunshots. Can we get out of here? My gut is telling me something isn't good." She quickly snapped out of her dancing self, but wasn't looking at him. Loki waved his hand in front of her scared blue eyes. "Uh hello? I'm speaking here blondie." He looked over in the same direction.

Four men with leather jackets, black cowboy hats and leather boots busted through the batwing doors. Sarah pulled Loki down to the floor in between the crowd. He kneeled in front of her. "Those men are the Black Cheyenne Bandits. They're very dangerous and want to rule this town. They love to rob and murder people for fun. Quick. Follow me." Her white dress dragged across the ground as she crawled. Loki followed her outside an exit. Seconds later, screams were heard. The music stopped. This didn't stop her from pulling Loki's arm.

Once they got back to the hotel, Sarah locked the front doors. They ran into the hotel's lounge area. She was out of breath. "Those men...they know you're not from here. We must be extremely careful now. If we get caught, they will murder us." Loki paced back and forth. "You knew about this? Why didn't you tell me Sarah?!" She stared at the floor. "I didn't want to scare Alaina. I'm really sorry." What was he going to do? Now, people are trying to hunt them down.
