It's been a year since you told us the bad new
Been a year since you where determined staying at the hospital on my birthday wasn't a choice
Been a year since you forced a smile on your face and keep down the dreaded news just so I had a good day
It's been a year since you known that you had cancer but it took less then a year for god to take ya
It took Heaven to realise you been away from your youngest daughter for far to long and grandad missing his baby girl and we all knew deep down inside you wasn't going to be staying by our side
The bad news isn't that you left us because Heaven took you, or because grandad wanted his baby girl.
The bad news isn't that you are hone from this world
The bad news is that you were the strongest pillar holding up our world, and the fact that it took your fall for everyone to notice but even then they are blind to the crumbling walls, the bad news is that you shouldn't have been the only pillar standing strong because family are suppose to be strong together.
But for you mum I'll stand strong, I'll stand strong until my days are done, and death takes me to a place we can meet again, I'll stand strong and bare the burden, the pain the weight of our family just so they can live peacefully
