IN WHICH a shy Slytherin from a family of Ravenclaws befriends Draco in fifth year, only for things to take a wild turn.
SUMMARY: Charlotte Kane was the outcast of her family. While her family was filled with theatrical and dramatic kids, she was the shy one. While her family was full of blondes, she was a brunette. While her family was full of Ravenclaws, she was a Slytherin. After years of feeling overshadowed by her family's legacy, she's determined to make a name for herself at Hogwarts.
So she befriends Draco Malfoy.
FACTS:
-Charlotte comes from a large family. I imagine her being like the Weasleys. She's the youngest of seven children. She has four older brothers, and two older sisters. One of her brothers is in his last year at Hogwarts. She's not extremely close with anyone. She gets along with all of them, but they always call her out on being different, even her parents. She doesn't say anything to their face and keeps her true feelings bottled up. It's a toxic environment at home.
-Even in school, she doesn't have a lot of friends. She's shy, and she's Slytherin, so no one makes an effort to talk to her. The teachers usually call her 'Kane' to avoid confusion between her other siblings. She's completely ordinary, though she has a talent for singing.
-She doesn't think she's so good though. But she's actually good. So one day, Draco hears her singing to herself. Like, she's flipping through some textbook, and she's singing to herself and he hears.
-He's always been intrigued by her (basically he had a teeny-tiny crush on her, but doesn't realize it). He sits next to her, or he brings it up another day like, "Nice singing." so nonchalantly. Obviously, Charlotte's red and stammering, while Draco's like, "I don't get it." Charlotte gets up and walks away, telling him to never bring it up again.
-Draco, being an annoying little shit, keeps bothering her. But only when they're alone. In the library, or he'll sit next to her in class, etc. Eventually, she learns to tolerate him, they become friends which turns to lovers (i'm thinking a very slow burn.)
-Charlotte is pure-hearted, but she's not naïve. She looks soft and delicate, even the way she dresses, but she's tough. She's been dealing with her family's shit for years. She's a Slytherin, so remember, if she wants something, she is cunning enough to get it.
-You can decide whether she joins Umbridge's bitch squad (as a member, or a spy) or if she joins the DA (as a member or a spy)
-There has to be a scene where Charlotte finally expresses everything about her family that she had bottled up inside of her to Draco. She loves her family, but she's fed up with them. (Remember that she still loves them)
-By the end of the OOTP her and her brother (at hogwarts) will be a little closer. Draco convinces her to come clean and tell him the truth also.
-I've got two endings for this, and I'll pm you both. You can pick whichever one you want to choose.
