Daydreaming Without Luz

When I awoke, Luz was busy outside teaching Eda and Lilith glyph magic. It was almost time for school, so I quickly had breakfast and dragged with me, since she has to go too.

Before class had started, Luz, Gus, Willow, and Amity were called to the front office. I'm not sure what happened but I do know that after that, Luz, Gus, and Willow were expelled from Hexside.

I should be worried about them... or atleast thinking about my classes... but my mind is haunted by someone who I totally did not find cute... him. What if he had noticed me watching him the other day?

"I thought you went to go slay the selkiedomus with them... Why are you just watching me? Don't tell anyone you saw me messing with this little creature."

Ok he's kinda cute... but I have to hate him... He's on the other side. We're enemies. Although, I could see us being friends under different circumstances. He seems kinda like Luz when he's not being evil... He also let us go. He could've arrested Eda, and Emperor Belos would be angry if he found out the Golden Guard didn't do so when the chance arose. I also wonder what he looks like under the mask. I shake my head. I should really stop thinking about him and finish my classwork. Once that's done, I can do something about my friends being expelled.

When school ends, I hurry out and head to the Owl House. Maybe Luz went back home? When I get there, Eda greets me and ask where Luz is. I shrug and leave. Standing outside for a bit I wonder where Luz is. I don't know how long I just sat there thinking, but Amity was waving her hand in front of me. It was dark out, so I must have just been sitting there for a couple hours at least. I look around and I also see Willow and Gus.

"(Y/N), Luz is in trouble," They all speak at the same time before dragging me away. We were now outside a weird Blight Industries event and the three of them were arguing about how to get in.

"Here's an idea, why don't you just walk through the front?" Edric and Emira then throw us green cloaks. When we get in, Luz is on stage fighting an abomination with a crossbow. The creature then stops and the last product is announced... a huge abomination robot thing. We all removed our hoods and Amity ran to a ladder and climbed up it as we were stopped from following by abomination guards. The Abomaton 2.0, as Amity's mother called it, was giving Luz quite the beating. Luckily, just as it was about to stab her with a pick like structure arm, it was held in place. The arms then exploded and Amity fully uncloaked herself.

"Stay away from my Luz!" Amity then jumped between the abomination and Luz. I saw her crush a necklace before turning to Luz, "Luz, are you ok?" Luz nods, but then the abomination gets up and Amity tries to stop it again.

"AMITY, GET AWAY FROM THAT HUMAN!"

"No, Luz, Willow, and Gus are my friends. They're nice to eachother. They make me think about the kind of person I really want to be!"

"UHG WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"Let my friends back into Hexside, or you precious investors will watch me rip this thing bit by bit."

Phew, Luz was safe. Anyways, Amity's mom agrees, Amity and Luz fake a genuine fight with the abomination, and we all go home. When Luz and I walk into the Owl House, Eda and Lilith are sitting at the living room's coffee table surrounded by crumpled papers.

"Hey guys, we actually learned something new!"

"Can that wait until morning? I need rest..." Luz yawns.

"Wait, miss teacher, do I get extra credit?" Lilith holds up a statue of her bowing to Luz and being given a star.

"Oh... my gosh..."

"I can do it, too." Eda then makes a ball of ice.

"Wow, yeah. Extra credit for everyone!" Luz then throws them both gold stars and walks away. I go up to my room and pull a sketchbook out from under my pillow, grabbing a random pencil from somewhere on the floor. Humming, I doodle Amity and Luz fighting that abomination... then my mind wanders back to the Golden Guard. I doodle him on the next page.

Once I had finished drawing the Golden Guard, I have one thought before drifting off to sleep. What would he think of this?
