Thinking of you

Asami had this latent talent where she could actually do freehand sketches whenever she pleased. No one really noticed since everyone was too busy saving the world or something. It was on her free days like these she found time to grab her sketch pad and do rough drafts on ideas she wanted to realize with Future Industries. Lately, her sketchpad had nothing but drawings of Korra in it. It was a problem. She didn't mind drawing Korra on a regular basis but the blue eyed girl seemed to invade her thoughts whenever she wasn't there.

The CEO sighed. "It's impossible to get you out of my mind, Darling."

Asami finally gave up on her sketchpad, knowing she would probably just draw another one of her beloved's faces or actions. She proceeded to her paperwork. Perhaps, it was just the fact that she missed her beloved so much since she set on an Avatar mission about a month ago. God, she was regressing.

Laying her head back a bit to breathe, she closed her eyes to relax for a few minutes. It was getting tiring. She spent the whole day cramped up in her office, seemingly drowning in paperwork.

The CEO drifted away into a peaceful nap. Slowly trying to ebb away the fatigue she had accumulated through the day.

It was finally time for Korra to come back from her mission in the Earth Federation. She was nearing the completion of finally unifying that place. Korra smiled to herself as she thinks that she finally earned some free time with her wife.

On her air glider, she noticed that their bedroom was still dark. The Avatar frowned because she and Asami had agreed that she would have to leave work before it got dark. Night time was already approaching. So Korra decided to redirect her glider and headed to the Future Industries Tower, where she knew a window would always be open in case she arrived.

Asami's office still had lights on and when Korra arrived she was greeted by her beloved who was sleeping soundly in her office chair. Smiling to herself, Korra approached her hardworking wife and gave her a light kiss on her temple. Korra's eyes wandered to the table and the first thing she noticed was the sketchpad with drawings of herself. The Avatar felt like an intruder when she got the sketchpad. Then again, she was risking about a month's sleep on the couch but she couldn't help herself.

Korra was amazed by the care and the skill displayed in the drawings. She knew Asami could draw but not like this, Korra had only seen blueprints of upcoming projects and the like. The Avatar couldn't help herself smiling at each picture of her.

Asami woke to the sound of rustling papers on her right ear. She recognized those blue clothes anywhere but what bothered her was that she caught her attention was her beloved scanning her sketchbook. Surprisingly, she found her heart aflutter looking at her lover like that.

"See anything you like?" Asami asked.

Korra was surprised and nearly panicked. "Uh... Well... you know. I got here and saw this. I got curious."

"I don't mind as long as it's you." Asami said.

Korra was relieved. "I thought for sure you were going to make me sleep in the couch for poking around. I didn't know you liked to draw stuff like this... or well... me. I guess I missed you too."

Korra put her left hand behind her neck and Asami found that gesture adorable. "You almost won that. I just changed my mind."

"Ok. Cool." Korra knew better than to push the topic. Putting down the sketchpad, she scooped her wife up. "I'll make it up to you. Let's go home."

"I hope you aren't tired." Asami said, her heart pounding at the strong arms that wrapped around her.

"I'm not." Korra grinned.
