Asami stared absently out the window of her office. Republic City just wasn't the same when Korra was away.

"Um, Director Sato, someone just left a message for you." Ivy, her secretary, suddenly called over the intercom.

Asami reluctantly returned to her desk and pressed the intercom to reply. "Did they leave a name?"

"No. The message just says; 'Meet me in the spirit world, ten minutes.'"

Asami's heart suddenly started pounding. Korra! "Ivy, hold all my calls. I'll be back later!"She replied before sprinting from her office.

"I hope you haven't been waiting long."

"Only three years….You don't get to disappear for three years and then think you know what's best for me!"

"I didn't mean to be gone that long. I wanted to come back!...I don't think I ever really apologized for being gone so long. I should've come back sooner."

"I'm just happy you're here now…"

"Let's do it. Let's go on a vacation, just the two of us. Anywhere you want."

"Really, okay. I've always wanted to see what the spirit world's like."

"Sounds perfct."

"I hope you haven't been waiting long." Asami teased, coming up on a flower filled clearing and the tree Korra was sitting under.

The Avatar looked up, smiling. "You got my message and wasted no time."

"So not long?" Asami pressed, sitting down beside her.

Korra nodded "Not long at all."

"Okay, so why did you call me here? Not that I mind but, aren't you supposed to be helping rebuild the Earth Kingdom right now?"

"And you're supposed to be reworking, as well as running, your company, what's your point?"

"Korra!" Asami scolded, resting a hand against her forehead.

The Avatar simply laughed and shifted her arms from across her chest to behind her head. "Relax Asami, its fine. The Earth Kingdom's actually quite stable for the time being. So I figured I'd drop off the gird for awhile and have a picnic lunch with you. Besides, you look like you could use a break from the real world too."

Asami nodded. "You have no idea. But I don't wanna bore you."

"You could never bore me." Korra smiled, resting one hand on Asami's while she began unpacking the picnic basket with the other. "I wanna know everything I'm missing out on. But what do you say we eat first?"

"So, a picnic lunch under a spiritual sky huh? Sounds perfect." The engineer smiled, before leaning in and pecking Korra on the cheek.
