Bad choices

Steve was preparing to ask Natasha out. Clint said he shouldn't look to elegant, so he dressed with a red jacket, blue pants and black T-shirt. His and Natasha's colors. Tony told him to be relaxed and Pepper chose the film for them.
Taking a deep breath, Steve knocked at the door. No answer. He entered. The room was empty.
"Do you know were Nat is?" he asked the team.
"No. We were busy helping you. Maybe with Bruce in his lab?"
"No, it's not with me. I saw her heading to the gym with Alexei and Peter."
"The gym was our place!"
"Peter is my so-, I mean sidekick!" Said Tony "And he will be late for school!"
Just then Peter entered in the room with his schoolbag on his back.
"Mr. Stark, it's alright if Nat and Alexei  are driving me to school today ?"
"Nat? You didn't called her<<Ms. Natasha >>?" Clint asked shocked .He should have learnt him that.
"Now we have matching bracelets!" Alexei said, showing it to Clint.
Steve observed Nat had one too. While Alexei was talking with Clint, Steve went to Natasha. He remembered what his friends learned him.
"Hey, Nat. I don't know if you remember, but when we took down the Red Room...."
Natasha panicked. He wanted to talk about that moment. The moment she feard the most to talk with him. The kiss.She kissing him. Now, Natasha felt so awkward because she kissed him even if she didn't know what where his feelings for her. She thought she will die that day and wanted to leave the world with no regrets. And she should be dead, if Hydra didn't found her. Natasha could only imagine what he thought about the kiss. Did he saw her like a fan? Did he thought it was inappropriate to kiss a coworker? Did it found it horrible because in his times a relationship was different? Of course, it was different! thought Natasha. They didn't even went on a date and then kiss. Stupid, Natasha! Stupid! she said to herself.
"What do you think, Nat?"
Steve's question took her back to reality. She was in her  thoughts to much that she didn't heard what Steve said. Did he found the kiss embarrassing? He was smiling, but that could mean so many things. Was it a polite smile to end the embarrassing subject?
"Um... I have to drive Petey to school because I dont want him to be late! Ha, Ha... Come, Alexei! " she wanted to escape from there, from the situation. Steve face became sad. What that meant?
"But, I will come back?" she smiled with her teeth and made finger guns with her hands. Her brain wasn't functioning right. Error! And her bidy too. Really, Nat?! Finger guns? she thought. She felt so good to be outside the Tower. After they drived Peter to school, Alexei laughed in the empty car.
"What?" Natasha asked.
"Finger guns? What was that?"
"It was the second most embarrassing moment of my life."
"What's the first one? "
"Ja poceloval Stiva. (I kissed Steve.)"
"Ni za chto!Vy ljubite Kapitan Ameriku! (No way!You love Capitan America! )"
"K sozhaleniju, on menja ne ljubit. (Sadly, he doesn't love me back. )"

At the Tower, an angry Steve was walking back and forth in the room. The others stayed on the couch and watched him.
"I asked her out and she left with Alexei! They are definitely together! And what was with the finger guns?"
"Sorry, Steve!I think you got friendzoned by Natasha." Tony said. "But I have a plan."
"That's not good!" Pepper, Bruce and Clint said in unison.
"Guys! Believe in me! Steve, make her jealous. Make her see what she lost."
"You are  right! I will make her see that!"
"I'm out. I think i witnessed the worst decision ever!" Clint left in the vents.
"Me too. This is craziness!" Bruce went back to his lab.
"Steve, this is a bad idea." Pepper said.
"Ok, Tony, but how  do i find a girlfriend in 1 day?"
"You are Capitan America? Do you know how many girls want you! I will  make a phone call." Tony left Steve alone.
"Sadly, the only girl i care about doesn't like me back." Steve said to himself.

Hours later, Natasha and Alexei were in the elevator.
"Steve didn't say he didn't liked you so... try to explain your feelings. If he says he doesn't like you... we will live far, far on an island, running from the embarrassment together. "
"Ok, I will try."
The two of them entered  in the living room. The first think that catch Natasha's attention was the blonde girl who was watching a movie in Steve's arms.
"Natasha! Alexei! Do you want to see a movie with me and my girlfriend?" Steve smiled.
"Girlfriend "the word Natasha's feared since she saw the blonde girl. Deep inside her heart, she knew he got over her death, but still hurt. At least she didn't told him she loves him this morning because this moment would be more awkward,Natasha thought.
" Sure. What are you watching?" Alexei said, took Natasha's hand and moved two armchair next to each other,so they could be close.
"Titanic" Steve said.
"Remembering your glory days, Steve?" Alexei joked.
"Capitan America is a national hero, be respectful!" Steve's girlfriend said.
"Ok, sorry, if that makes you happy, but i think it would be nice to have an introduction. I am really curious about how  ved'ma  (the witch) and capitan meet. " Alexei said.
"My name is Sharon, not Velma."
"Nice to meet you, Sharon!" Alexei smiled, enjoying the fact that he could insult people and they don't even know it.
The movie was boring for Alexei. And he didn't liked the looks of the Avengers when Natasha put her head on his shoulder. He tried to ignore them and watch the movie. After some time, he looked at Natasha and her eyes were closed.
"Tasha, wake up. Your friends look at me.. let's say.. interesting." He whispered in her ear.She didn't responded, so he shaked her lightly.
"Sis, your burning!" he whispered and shaked her a little more powerful.
She opened her eyes.
"Jeto byl ne plohoj son, Stiv dejstvitel'no s jetoj ved'moj. (It wasn't a bad dream, Steve really is with that witch.  )" Natasha said weakly.
"Perekljuchis' na anglijskij, sestrenka. Oni podumajut, chto my chto-to skryvaem.U tebja vse normal'no?(Switch to English, sis. They would think we hide something.Are you OK? ) "Alexei whispered in her ear.
" Yes. "
" What are you talking about?"Tony asked.
" If she likes strawberries or blueberries. The movie is so boring! When does the Spider-boy come home? I miss him. He's the funny one around here."Alexei asked.
" To be clear, I am the funny one!"Clint said.
" I have to take him from school! "
" Tony, can i take him? "
" Sure, Nat?
Natasha stood up and started to walk to the door, when Alexei grabbed her hand. And they stood there in silence for a few moments and looked at each other. Even if they didn't grow up together, they became close in the year they spent together at Hydra. Russian and English weren't the only ways they talked. They talked also with their eyes. Natasha could see that Alexei was telling her "Don't leave. You are not fine. I'm afraid something will happen to you. Let me ckme with you. I know Steve's image hurts." Natasha  looked at him. He knew what that look meant "I need time alone. And i like Peter. He's adorable! Stay and know the team.". They forgot about the others who were staring at them. Natasha left and let Alexei behind.
Tony came next to Steve and whispered "She was so jealous that she left. My plan is working. I am a genius. "
Nat was driving her car, but it felt so hot even if outside was winter. She knew she couldn't continue driving, so Nat parked the car in an alley. She felt like the vehicle was a hot sauna, so she left the window down.

After 40minutes,Alexei was agitated. The way back from school wasn't that long.
"Shouldn't Nat be home?" he asked.
"i hope Peter didn't do the puppy eyes and Nat bought her ice cream." Tony said.
"Stay calm, Alexei. Nat is abig girl." Clint told Alexei.
Just then, the elevator doors opened.
"See!" Clint said.
But it was only Peter.
"Pete, where is Natasha? Is she downstairs?" Alexei words were filled with worry.
"Nat? I didn't see her since morning when she drove me to school. Thank you, Mr Stark because you didn't forget me at school!"
"Wait, kiddo! We sent Natasha after you. She didn't come?" Clint said.
"No. I waited at school until the janitor told me to leave."
"But if Nat didn't come to take you.... Where is she?" Steve asked.
"She doesn't answer her phone!" Alexei said.
"Let's go search for her. " Sharon said to Steve.

Everyone was searching for Nat. Tony couldn't locate her suit because she didn't wear it, so flew over the city . Peter ans Alexei were searching the rooftops. Pepper and Sharon drove the car
on the exact route, in chase they find her car. Steve and Bruce were in the  underground channels in case Nat was there.
"Guys, you don't think Hydra took Nat?" Alexei asked the team through his comm.
"Let's hope not" Clint answered.
They searched for 1 hour, until Tony recived a call from a person who saw Black Widow in his  apartment block alley. Tony couldn't belive how they didn't saw her. He flew there and saw the man near standing near the car.
"I found her like this. Her window is open, but she..." the man said.
"Thanks." Tony said and give him 5 dollars. He looked inside the car. Natasha's head was on the steering wheel.
"Please don't be dead! Please, dont be dead!" he thought better "And if you are dont come back after another funeral." He broke the door and took her in his arms. She wasn't conscious. He looked for bullet holes and when he  saw nothing, he put Jarvis to make a scan.
"Sir, the only problem with Miss. Black Widow is the body temperature, which is 40. 4°C."
"What! 40°C!Jarvis,activate the propulsors and call SHIELD. TEL THEM TO PREPARE THE MED BAY! Also call the team and tell them to hurry to SHIELD! "
