"You took everything from me! I'll kill you!" a shadow screamed and pushed (Y/N) on the ground. (Y/N) felt a sharp pain coming from her stomach. She tried to move, but she couldn't because the pain paralised her. The shadow approached to (Y/N) with a knife, ready to stab her, but ,before she could do that, (Y/N) woke up.

(Y/N) looked around and saw she was in her room with her husband who was sleeping peacefully next to her.

It was just a dream. (Y/N) though as she though a sigh of relief and looked at Nozel sleeping. It was the first time seeing him sleeping because he always was waking up before her.

Nozel woke up shortly after and saw her wife staring at him.

"Good morning!" he said smilling.

"Good morning!"

"Did you sleep well last night?" he asked and stood up. "I think I might've been to harsh on you last night and I might've hurt you."

"I slept well, but now I can't move." (Y/N) said while she was trying to move her legs.

Nozel came to her and lifted her up.

"Don't worry. The pain will fade, until then, I will help you." He said and took her to the bathroom.

One hour later, (Y/N)'s pain dissapeared enough to stay on her legs, but she still had problems on walking.

"Don't force yourself." Nozel said and helped (Y/N) stood up from her chair after they ate breakfast.

"Thank you." she said and followed him to his office. "So... What I'll have to do today?"

That day was her first day as queen and she didn't know what was her job exactly.

"Well..." Nozel said looking at the papers. Being her wife's first day, he didn't want to gave her a difficult task so he was searching for an easy one, but couldn't find any. Discussion with the generals about the army status, making a report about the kingdom's monthly economy, being part of the royal parliament....Those were to difficult for a newbie like her. He knew how much he struggled with them in his first year as king, especially when the kingdom was poor and weak.

(Y/N) saw her husband struggling to find her a task to do so she approached to his desk and put her hands on his.

"It's okay if you can't find anything. It means I'm not ready yet to do any task." she said making him stop searching.

He put the files on his desk and took her hands.

"Darling, it's not like you're not ready. Alfred told me that besides making the wedding arrangements, you were studying hard for helping me when you will become the queen and I'm very proud of you. You are ready, it's just that you don't have experience. After what you endured with Lady Gremlaine, I don't want to stress you on your fist days." he said and looking at her. "I'll search it a little bit more and, if I don't find anything, you'll take this day off, okay?" he said and she nodded.

Suddenly, someone knocked at the door.

"Enter." Nozel said and Alfred entered holding a paper.

"Sorry to interrupt, Your Majesties, but I received a letter from the constructor supervisor from the Kean Town regarding the waterwheel project. It says that, for some reason, they don't have the authorization to build it."

"How? I sent the authorization signed by me and the current mayor of that town last week." Nozel said irritated.

"I don't know, but you and the mayor have to sign another one today, otherwise they will cancel the construction."

"I don't think I can, Alfred. I have many things scheduled for today."

"I can do it." (Y/N) said and they looked at her. "It's just signing a paper and puting the royal sigil, isn't it? It's not a big deal, right?"

"Well, the task is indeed simple, but you'll have to go in the Kean Town, your hometown. Are you sure you want to go?" Nozel asked her concerned. Even if he struggled for the past few months to clear her name, he still wasn't sure that they would treat her differently or not.

"Yes, I am. If I show them that I'm not afraid of them and I'm a hardworking person, they might change their opinion about me. Besides, it is inevitable for me to return there." (Y/N) said confident.

"Alright then, Alfred will prepare a carriage and someone to escort you. You'll leave in 1 hour."

(50 minutes later)

(Y/N) was sitting on a bench in front of the castle with a maid.

"I see you're very excited, Your Majesty." the maid said standing next to (Y/N).

"I really am. This is the first time I'll leave the castle and my first task as queen."

"I am sure you will do a great job, Your Majesty."

"Thank you." (Y/N) said smilling at the maid. "Oh, you can sit next to me if you want. You don't have to stand."

"C-can I?" the maid said nervous. She was new there and she was taugh to satisfy the Royal Familly no matter what.

"Sure." (Y/N) said and the maid sat on the bench. "What's your name?"

"Clare..." the maid said shy.

"Nice to meet you, Clare. I hope we can become good friends." (Y/N) said raising her hand.

"H-how can I? It's inappropiate for me to become your friend, Your Majesty. I'm just a mere maid."

"So what? I was a maid too. I know that I'm a queen now, but I don't want to be treated like an important person or people to fear me because of my status, instead, I want to be treated like a normal person and be considered a friend. So, do you want to be my friend, Claire?"

"Yes, I do, Your Majesty." Claire said and shook her hand.

"You can call me (Y/N)."

"Ok, (Y/N)."

After a few minutes, a carriage pulled by two white horses appeared in front of the castle. The carriage's door opened and from it came out a blonde woman with a sword wearing a military uniform.

"Good afternoon, Your Majesty! I'm Jean Gunnhildir, one of the nine generals from the Royal Army. I was asked by His Majesty, the king, to escort you to the Kean Town." Jean said kneeling in one knee.

"I...I see... Let's go then." (Y/N) said nervous. She expected Nozel to send a knight with high rank to escort her, but she didn't expected he would send a general to do it. She felt kinda sorry for Jean. She was sure Jean had better things to do than babysitting a queen.
