Cherish This Moment (Kyo x Yuki Fruits Basket)

I feel the same way...

Yuki and Kyo were down at the lake to see the sunset, but suddenly Yuki had started to cry because he was scared of what Kyo would think of him if he told him his feelings. He asked Kyo what he thought of him and Kyo had started to talk.

"W-Well.." Kyo started off

For him, it had started when Tohru had come into the house. When he came crashing through the roof he could see the way Yuki stared at him, of course, that was short-lived since Tohru had turned him into a cat. If Tohru hadn't had showed up then who knows what could have happened between these two. Kyo had always taken a disliking to Yuki because of what he had done when they were kids.

Kyo was walking along the path with his hat on a windy day and it had blown off his head and behind him. Yuki just happened to be walking behind him and decided to pick it up, the cat boy turned around and stared at him.

"Uhm.. this is your hat." Young Yuki said, holding it out to him.

"I don't want it. Not if someone like you has touched it." Young Kyo replied, scoffing and running off. He left Yuki standing there with the hat, he looked at it for a moment and put it on his head. It was warm because Kyo was wearing it. He sighed and turned back in the other direction, going back to the main house where Akito would continue to do terrible things to him. The rat turned around and started heading back in the direction of the main house when he saw a girl hiding and crying somewhere. Little did he know, that girl was Tohru.

Kyo could feel his face heat up after he ran away from Yuki, he took everything he had, he always lost to Yuki and it just wasn't fair. It was decided that he now hated, despised Yuki. There was, however, something about Yuki that he couldn't shake off, he looked somewhat... cute. Of course, the orange-haired boy would NEVER admit that to anyone, not even Master. So he shook it off and continued running back to Master's place.

"I think that you're a stupid rat and you should leave me alone," Kyo said, joking around with him. The rat punched his chest and glared at him, causing Kyo to stumble over his words a little bit.

"H-Hey, I was only kidding... but what I think of you is a little bit, embarrassing." Kyo started up again, The grey-haired male pulled Kyo onto him and waited for him to talk. Yuki embraced Kyo, wanting to save the moment he gripped Kyo's shirt as if he was clinging to him for dear life. Kyo had noticed this and smiled softly, he leant his head into Yuki's shoulder and tightened his grip around him. Cat boy started to shake softly, he was on the verge of crying either out of nervousness or because of how he felt, or maybe both.

"H-How I feel... I think I can finally tell you... I l-" Kyo gets interrupted by the rat boy.

"Ah, first tell me more about how you felt about me before all of this," he said, trying to hurry the conversation along so Kyo can't say *those words* 

"Eh-- uhm, fine. I suppose I *can* tell you about how I felt about you before I was forced to move in with you." Kyo starts.

About a month earlier...

Kyo was still off of the map, he wanted to be away from anyone and everyone to avoid causing more hurt or pain to them. He was not exactly mentally well, at all. So there were days where he would feel like complete shit and others where he would feel somewhat okay. The cat boy would continuously hear a faint dinging bell though. He wondered what it was?

"What the..? What is that damn noise?!" Kyo shouted into the seemingly endless forest. Despite all his yelling, the bell noise continued. After countless hours of this bell noise, the cat boy got fed up and decided to follow it.
