It was the very same day after they had gotten back home and Lloyd was sitting down at breakfast with the rest of the Ninja. He was in a very good mood, because the thought that after so many long years he finally got to be with his sister everyday made him happy and overjoyed. Of course they'd spend a lot of the time training, but at least that was still time they'd spend together. Lloyd had also been previously worried about whether Llara would like the same things he liked or whether they would bond. But now he didn't really care. As long as he had her.
Which reminded him... "Uncle, if Llara's going to be training with me now... Where will we train?" Lloyd asked. Certainly not here, he thought to himself. It's not like he was going to say that out loud.
Wu stroked his beard, deep in thought. "We will have to think of a solution to that as soon as possible."
"Are we going to be the ones to train her?" Kai asked.
"No, Kai. Why don't we ask the Ultra dragon to train her, because who else could there possibly be around here that could?" Cole said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
"I was just asking," Kai said defensively.
"So will she commence her training today with Lloyd, then, sensei?" Zane asked, looking at their master quizzically.
"I think it will be a good idea to wait for her to settle down before we start," Wu said. "She is still shaken from all the new information, understandably so. Lloyd, try your best to cheer her up and open her up more. Help her feel more comfortable."
"You got it," Lloyd said through a mouthful of buttery toast, giving his uncle a thumbs up.
Lloyd was beginning to get a very good idea, forming in his mind. He wasn't sure it would be approved by his uncle, but he had asked Lloyd to try his best to get Llara to open up. And what better way to do that than taking her on a fun day out in the city and having a blast with her and possibly the rest of the Ninja?
"Um, uncle. I was thinking. Maybe we could take Llara out. You know, get her used to the city... and everything. She'll be sure to open up if she has fun with all of us!" Lloyd blurted out. He expected his uncle to immediately shoot his suggestion down, point out that it was a terrible idea, but instead he was met with a thoughtful silence. Wu seemed to be seriously considering it.
"That's a good idea," Cole spoke up from where he was across their little table. "She's a kid. I don't know a kid who doesn't love a fun day out, and like Lloyd said it'll loosen her up a bit when she's around us. If she associates us with fun. Kid psychology, or something."
"It makes sense," Wu nodded slowly. "You may go. It might help her. One of you, contact Nya and inform her of this plan."
"I will!" Jay exclaimed immediately, bringing out his phone in an instant and typing out the text to his nongirlfriend girlfriend (they hadn't really reached the point where it was certain they were officially dating.)
Nya was currently cleaning up the place after breakfast when she received another text message from Jay. The first one, which had been when Jay asked how Llara was doing, was before the Ninja had sat down for breakfast. Now Llara had retreated back to her room (almost too eagerly), and Nya was cleaning up the dishes. At first the cat had stuck around hopefully in the hopes that Nya was kind enough to offer him some extra food, but when it became clear to the cat that that wasn't going to happen, he had hissed quite angrily and rushed off to find Llara.
The buzz of the arriving text message startled Nya, and she walked away from the sink with soapy hands to glance at her phone screen.
