For the next couple of weeks you stuck close to Percy and Connor. They were some of the only people you trusted. But one day after Percy walked you back to the Hermes cabin somethings changed.
"See you tomorrow." He waved and left. You waved back until he was out of sight.
Walking to the door of the cabin you were stopped by a blond haired girl. Who you remembered as 'Annabeth'.
"Hi." You smiled at her. But she didn't smile back. Her eyes were grey. A rare eye color but very intimidating. She looked angry. And to be honest, that scared you.
"Let me make myself clear. I know you like Percy. It's obvious. So I'm going to give you one chance." She gripped the collar of your shirt. Bringing her face so close to you, you could hear her breathing. "You won't talk to Percy again. Look at Percy again. Or even think about Percy again. Or I swear I will kill you." She pulled away. "Understood?"
"Y-yes, Master." With that she smiled, not even bothering to correct the fact that you called her master. "Sweet dreams." She walked away.
"You okay?" You felt a hand on your shoulder. You knew it was Connor without even turning around.
"Yeah," you lied, letting out a deep breath that you didn't even realize you had been holding in. "Yeah, I'm fine."

It was hard. To ignore him. You wanted so bad to talk to him but you couldn't. Every time he came to you to talk you would turn your back to him and pretend to not hear him. It was torture. Especially when he would apologize over and over again. Saying he was sorry for something he didn't do. He thought it was his fault. You missed him so much. At first you thought it would be easy. But it wasn't. But you had to ignore him.

Then the time of day came for the campfire. You sat with Connor and Travis. Some of your best friends, starring at the marshmallow you were currently roasting over the fire. Your hand found it's way to your pocket. Where you kept your most valuable item. The only thing you had left. The only memory. You pulled it out. Examining it in the fire light. You were always amazed at how a prism worked. How it casted rainbows just like that. It only needed a little light. You always kept it close. It had been a gift from your father. It was the only thing that tied you back to him. And there was no way you would leave it anywhere.
"Hey!" You heard Percy yell from across the campfire, waving and smiling like an idiot. The scene made your heart jump in it's chest. You wanted so badly to wave back but you just turned your head away towards Connor. He was talking with Drew from the Aphrodite cabin and some new boy.
The boy looked kind of familiar but you couldn't place where you had seen him. You shrugged it off and tried to listen to the conversation so that you could participate. Every now and then though you would glance at Percy. He was starring at you. Tears in his eyes. For a second you made eye contact with him. He looked so broken. He was silently asking you a million questions. You looked away. You couldn't stand seeing him like that.
Turning back to the conversation you heard- them discussing what different monsters they had killed, trying to figure out who was the strongest half blood. Not a conversation you could really participate in. At some point the new boy looked at you. The conversation had drifted off to 'our favorite animals'. Don't ask how. It just did.
While still looking at you the boy answered, "Well my favorite pets our kittens. They are very obedient and are easy to find when they run away."
You started breathing heavy. Now you recognized him. He was one of masters followers. He had a special name for you. Kitten. He had always beaten you and tortured you.
