Bad tic days are hard. Distracting yourself can calm them a lot, so I'm going to list my favorite things that work for me that might work for you too!
Drawing/art: this one works really well for me, i just have to use non-toxic supplies as I've gotten a marker to the mouth quite a few times.
Singing/playing an instrument: this one is also amazing to me because when i play my ukulele or sing along to some of my favorite bands, my tics will calm or even stop for however long i sing and play. One downside is if your tics are particularly bad, you might accidentally damage your instrument. I have an unexplainable amount of ukuleles.
Reading: this one is kind of a hit or miss because while it can be calming, your tics might distract you or cause you to damage your book if it's not an ebook.
Being alone: I absolutely recommend this one. Being alone can help you calm down without being anxious about what people around you think. Bonus points if you have stuffed animals to snuggle with!
Fidget toys: very helpful, discreet, and you can take them pretty much anywhere. Just make sure they're attached to something like a keychain or a lanyard so you don't throw/drop them.
This is all i can think of, if you have more suggestions please comment and i might make a separate chapter for submissions!
