"Eret please calm down-" George began as the designer began knocking over piles of clothes and racks of suits. "No I cannot! The ball is in three days!! Three days!!" Eret panicked, frantically throwing items of clothing into the air.
"George is right, give it a rest." Hannah yawned, sitting on a box watching everything go down. They had just finished another dance practice until they were interrupted by a stressed Eret.
"You don't understand how stressful this is. Are you sitting on the red scarf?!"Hannah looked down and pulled a fluffy, crimson scarf from beneath her. "Woops."
"There is no time for this!" Eret scolded, snatching the scarf and shoving it into a wooden box.
"Yeah.. Hey, George isn't your shift at Manis bookstore starting soon?" Hannah spoke, looking up at the clock present on the wall. "Oh crap you're right-" George breathed out, picking up his bag and running out the door. "Cya~"George ran down the hall, a small spring in his step as he went. Another sunny day at the bookshop. Although Jack didn't seem to enjoy working there, it was definitely the opposite for George- However- It meant that it was even less time with the prince, of course he was already busy enough with preparations for the ball but George now only caught glimpses of him. Something in George's chest ached for him.
But that didn't matter now, George was just round the corner of the bookshop, he had to focus at the task at hand.
"Good afternoon, Jack." George called as the bell rang on the door. He peered around before spotting the man on a ladder. "Ah George! Almost forgot." He smiled before sliding down the ladder. "Niki taught me this spell- I'm just getting to grips with it." Jack spoke before placing a book on the table.
"The floor is yours." George replied, watching Jack twiddle his fingers around. A pale gold began to surround the book, almost like a blanket. It then began to slowly levitate off the table.
"Woah.." George awed, watching the book gradually fly higher and higher.
"Cool, right? Now it's less effort putting books away." He spoke, swishing his hand to the right to make the book go in that direction.
"Magic is unbelievable." George nodded as he sat down on the seat that was present next to him.
"Doesn't mean you get to slack off though, these desks won't dust themselves." Jack teased, bringing the book down into his palms and placing it back in the pile."That should be the last shelf." George spoke aloud, wiping a bead of sweat that was present on his forehead. The bookstore was a lot livelier now, many guests wondered the maze of shelves hoping to find the book they've been looking for.
The bell rung again, inducting another customer had come in.
"Ah fancy seeing you lot here." He heard Jacks cheerful voice speak, George tilted his head from behind the book shelve to see what looked like a family of two small boys, maybe an older brother? and a mother and father.
"Tommy, stop raising your voice." The mother spok-
Wait
Tommy?
George spun around again and noticed that the boy was wearing a red and white long sleeved shirt. The boy next to him had brown fluffy hair and forest green shirt on. His eyes met the back of the girls head, her soft pink hair tied up into to cute pigtails.
And the guys next to her..
"George! We have visitors!" Jack called, causing the people's faces to look at him.
It was them.
"Niki? Will?" George spoke as the two gave a smile. "We're here too." Tommy spoke, tugging at George's trousers. "Right, right. Sorry Tommy and Tubbo." He chuckled, ruffling the younger boys hair.
"Wait- Weren't there five of you?" George questioned, looking over to Wilbur and Niki who gave a small smirk.
George's eyes were then covered by a pair of hands, taking him by surprise.
"Ah-"
"Guess who~" A voice spoke from behind him, tickling his neck.
"Your majesty?" George breathed out, spinning around to see the prince standing behind him.
"Bingo."
"But how-"Niki gave a small smile. "This guy here bribed Tommy and Tubbo to help him sneak out the castle." She spoke, as the boys ran over to the kids section of the library. "Of course we couldn't leave them under his royal highnesses control." Wilbur smiled as George looked over to Jack.
"So you mean that you sneaked out again?" Jack questioned in which Dream nodded enthusiastically.
"Nothing new there." He tutted as the six of them chuckled.
"The guards will come looking for me any minute now so I'll be off-" Dreams paused.
"-With George."
