I came back to this city after a long time without setting foot here. Everything has changed. The streets were full of vehicles. Many places such as shopping centres were abandoned and had been replaced with much more magnificent buildings. The cinema building that we often visited was levelled to the ground.

Taman Alam Wisata Punti Kayu and Bukit Siguntang were no longer favourite tourist spots and of course, had started to be empty of visitors. Although, it used to be the preferred tourist spot that tourists would visit on weekends. Jembatan Ampera remains an icon of this city but not many people will stop at the edge of the bridge to take pictures. However, the road to the boarding house hadn't changed much, neither did the house. People say that the yellow bus was no longer contested. It had been replaced by the Transmusi Bus, which had much better facilities.

Palembang and its atmosphere had indeed changed a lot. However, the memories never changed. 2000, the year that brought me here, and in that year I also met new people who were so memorable. However, among them, there was one person whose memories still neatly stayed in my heart. My first love, the first person who made me feel what love means. As you can read, I had my feelings for quite a long time and it turned out that my love was also unrequited.
