We were getting ready to go back home from the Gramedia bookstore. Haden accompanied me to buy the literature books for my assignment.

"We'd better go back home now, okay? I'll be afraid it will get dark," I said.

"I want to take you to a Bubur Ayam stall. I'll call Mrs. Sari if we'll be home late."

"For Bubur Ayam I can't say no."

We went by Mrs. Sari's Vespa motorbike. This motorbike hadn't been used for a long time since her husband died. So, Haden and Dika fixed it, so it could be used again.

"This is your helmet," he gave me.

I really enjoyed the street atmosphere of Palembang this afternoon. It wasn't crowded, so there wasn't much pollution.

"Den, I'll treat you later. You're accompanying me today," I said.

"What? I don't hear what you said," he replied.

Even though I knew that he pretended to not listen to me. We arrived at the location we were going to. A street food place that made me very comfortable. Not only Bubur Ayam, but there was also Nasi Goreng and Sate Madura sold here.

"I said that this time I'll treat you," I said.

"We haven't eaten yet," he replied.

"Anyway, my treat. How do you know about this place?"

"I ate here with Dika. I'm sorry, you wear a skirt, but I'll bring you to eat here."

"No problem! Besides, I prefer to eat in a place like this."

"That's great then," he said.

We enjoyed our meal while watching the motorbikes and cars go by. He was never wrong in choosing where to eat.

"Let's go home, it's dark already," I said.

"Okay, I'll pay first," he replied who was standing up to pay.

"I already said, let me pay," I replied.

However, he ignored me.

"Do you guys have free time on Saturday? I want to take you to a place," Mrs. Sari said when we had breakfast.

"Yes, we are ma'am," we replied.

"Good. Let's finish the food. You will be late later."

I arrived at class. Not like usual, Lyla wasn't here yet. I was confused about how to contact her while the public phone was far from my faculty.

"Why are you late?" I asked immediately when Lyla arrived in class.

"Last night, I stayed up late listening to the radio," she replied.

"I thought there was something wrong, you don't usually come late."

Lyla immediately sat on her chair and soon the first lecturer arrived in class.

"Do you come home with whom?" I asked Lyla.

"With my father. Want to come home with me?"

"No, I don't. I came home with Haden and Yonna."

"Okay, then. See you"

"Bye. Tomorrow, don't be late again!"

I walked alone to the bus stop and I saw that Haden and Yonna weren't there yet. Shortly, Yonna arrived in a black mood.

"Where's haden?" she asked me.

"I don't know," I replied.

"Let's go home first. I'm very tired today,"
